What an incredible afternoon celebrating the 70th Anniversary of the Brotherhood of Alexander the Great. 🎉🎂💙

Thank you to everyone who joined us to honour this historic milestone and celebrate the legacy of the generations who built our Association. It was wonderful to see so many members, families, friends and supporters come together for such a special occasion. We were truly blessed with such an incredible turnout.

The food was delicious, the music was fantastic, and the kefi was truly alive and well across multiple generations!

We are also proud to have raised funds in support of Hutt St Centre and the important work they do helping people experiencing homelessness and hardship in our community. Stay tuned for a donation announcement that you made possible. 🧡🫶🏻

Thank you to everyone who attended, volunteered, supported, donated and celebrated with us. Your presence made the day one to remember.

The Megas Alexandros 70th Anniversary Luncheon has sold out. 💙

We are truly humbled by the incredible support shown by our community and would like to sincerely thank everyone who purchased tickets. The overwhelming response to this milestone celebration has been beyond our expectations.

As seating and catering numbers have now been finalised, attendance on the day is limited to guests with a confirmed booking. Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate additional attendees, and no tickets will be available at the door.

We appreciate your understanding and thank you once again for your support.

For those who were unable to secure a ticket, we hope to welcome you to one of our future events at the club and continue celebrating our Hellenic Macedonian heritage together.

We look forward to sharing highlights from this special celebration as we mark 70 years of Megas Alexandros in South Australia.

We are pleased to announce that the Megas Alexandros 70th Anniversary Luncheon event has sold out. 🤍🩵💙

We are humbled and grateful to all those who have purchased tickets to our event, as the response was overwhelming.

For those who will be joining us, we’re excited to have local Adelaide musicians, Floga Band, provide the entertainment at the luncheon.

Known for bringing energy, atmosphere and a true Greek spirit to every performance, Floga Band will help make this milestone celebration one to remember as we honour 70 years of Hellenic Macedonian history in South Australia.

We will also be announcing the charity partner soon, and if you weren’t able to attend the event, there will be an opportunity to still donate to this worthy organisation.

Today we solemnly but proudly participated in commemorating the Genocide of the Pontian Greeks, as per our invitation by the Pontian Brotherhood of SA Inc. A Genocide , by the Ottoman Empire, that was forced upon the Greeks who lived along the shore of the Black Sea, a region known as Pontos, between 1914 and 1923.

Along with the Armenian Cultural Association of South Australia Inc. , Mosaic Adelaide , Greek Orthodox Community of SA Inc. - GOCSA, local council and political personnel, wreaths were laid at Salisbury Memorial Park.

A memorial service was held at St Dimitrios Parish at Salisbury, followed by the flag raising and wreath laying memorial ceremony.

The committee of the Pontian Brotherhood SA should be proud of today's commemoration, ensuring that the memory of the atrocities are never forgotten.
We honour the memory of 500,000 Pontian Greek lives lost, 1.5 million Armenian lives lost, 1 million Greeks of Asia Minor lives lost, 800,000 Assyrian lives affected.

The Brotherhood of Alexander the Great (Megas Alexandros) is proud to celebrate its 70th Anniversary Luncheon on Sunday 14 June 2026.

Founded in 1956, the association played a pivotal role in preserving and promoting our Hellenic Macedonian culture and laid the foundations for what is now the Pan Macedonian Federation of South Australia.

Join us on Sunday 14 June as we honour our founding fathers and celebrate this significant milestone.
