Interested in a career in hospitality?

Join our Hospitality Inspo and Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) Course at the Twelve25 Youth Centre, designed for young people aged 17 to 25 years.

Join writer, illustrator and comic maker Gina Rex for an impactful workshop where you’ll learn how to communicate through comics.

Hosted at Twelve25 Youth Centre on Wednesday 7 October from 11am to 12.30pm, the workshop is tailored to young artists who want to learn how comics can be used as an expressive storytelling tool.

We are looking for musicians aged 15 – 22 to hit the stage and show us what you’ve got on Friday Saturday 25 September.

Whether your sound is rock, indie, pop, punk, metal, hip hop, electronic or something completely unique, this is your chance to perform live and connect with an audience.

Prizes include a full day of professional studio recording time for the winning band and a $100 Music Corner voucher for each member of the runner-up band.

Learn how to upcycle and transform garments into brand new fashion by reimagining their design, style, and shape!

Across four sessions, you’ll have access to sewing machines, beads, sequins, paint, and creative upcycling techniques that’ll turn plain items of clothing into something completely new and unique.

The Twelve25 Career Day was a great chance for teenagers and young adults to kickstart the next stage of their work journey.

Attendees heard from a variety of employers and organisations, including Bank SA, SafeWork SA, Hungry Jacks, and Workskil.

They could also learn about potential careers, submit resumes, and build connections in a welcoming environment.

This supports our existing Youth Action Plan 2024 – 2027 which includes enhancing awareness of local job opportunities and career paths for young people.

Looking for something to do during the school holidays? Check out what’s coming up in the City of Salisbury!

• Tabletop Takeover Games Day, Monday 13 July from 1pm to 4pm – Dive into a world of exciting, modern tabletop board games across two afternoons at Twelve25 Youth Centre. Suitable for ages 12 to 17.

• Study Lounge Sessions, Thursday 16 July from 12pm to 3pm – Year 11 and 12 can be a stressful time, so a little help goes a long way. Supported by a current university student, these welcoming study sessions at Bagster Road Community Centre provide a quiet space and guidance.

• African Drumming, Friday 17 July from 1pm to 2pm – Drum, dance, and storytelling combine in this unique session at Twelve25 Youth Centre hosted by the talented Bortier Okoe from African Soul. Suitable for ages 12 to 25.
