Learning about EMOTIONS at Playgroup

We had so much fun learning all about our emotions today! Kya joined us for circle time and introduced the emotion characters to us through the 'Colour Monster' book.

Together we explored different feelings, sang songs and enjoyed lots of fun along the way. It was lovely to see everyone joining in and learning through play!

We also had the Community Pantry open for families, helping to provide a little extra assistance to those in our community.

It was a lovely morning of learning, connection, and support for our families.

National Reconciliation Week at Playgroup

This week at Playgroup, we acknowledged and celebrated National Reconciliation Week through a range of meaningful and engaging experiences that encouraged connection, respect, and learning together.

Our families and children enjoyed participating in a variety of activities inspired by Reconciliation Week, creating opportunities to explore culture through storytelling, music, movement, and creativity.

A special thank you to Salisbury Kindy educator, Kya, who joined us to share the beautiful story Respect, helping children learn about kindness, caring for one another, and the importance of respect in our community.

Children also explored culture through music and movement, using musical instruments while listening and moving to Inanay Gupuwana, and joyfully dancing together to Taba Naba. These shared experiences created wonderful opportunities for connection, expression, and celebrating the richness of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures.

At Playgroup, we value creating inclusive spaces where children and families can learn, listen, and grow together as we continue to walk alongside one another in the spirit of reconciliation.

3....2....1....SPACE THEMED PLAYGROUP 🚀⭐️🌞

We had such fun today enjoying all things SPACE. We made rockets, looked at planets and danced to 'Zoom,Zoom,Zoom we're going to the moon!'
So much fun!

It was lovely to see Kya from Salisbury Kindy back with us for group time, she read 'That's not my rocket'. What a treat! Thank you Kya.

PLAYGROUP - EVERY FRIDAY 9:30-11:00am

We had a fantastic playgroup today, our first one for Term 2!

The Hub was absolutely buzzing with so many new friends joining us to play, connect and learn.

Today our theme was colours, we had sorting activities and rainbow craft, something for everyone.

For the first time at the Salisbury Community Hub we had 'Cirlce Time with Kya'.
Kya is an Educator from Salisbury Kindergarten and she will be joing us on odd weeks throughout Term 2.
This partnership was created to foster meaningful relationships and to establish connection between families and the Kindergarten.
Kya was fantastic during circle time, singing songs and reading 'Brown Bear'.
We are so happy to have Kya joining us for playgroup.
