🎨⚜️ Art Attack! ⚜️🎨

Last night the Joeys got their creative juices flowing with an Art Attack challenge, painting their very own Scout-themed masterpieces! 🖼️🖌️🎨

We kicked off the evening with a fun game of Layla Says, testing everyone's listening skills and quick reactions, before settling in to create some fantastic artwork inspired by all things Scouting. ⚜️

To finish off a great night, the Joeys burned off their remaining energy with a lively game of Duck Duck Goose! 🦆🏃‍♂️

It was wonderful to see so much creativity, laughter, and enthusiasm from our youngest Scouts.

🌧️🧭 Mini-Gaine Success at Glenelg! 🧭🌧️

On Saturday, two patrols from Salisbury Scouts took part in a challenging 3-hour Mini-Gaine (competitive navigation event) at Glenelg.

Despite the weather not being on our side, our Scouts absolutely smashed it and performed amazingly in their very first Rogaine event!

The teams covered an impressive 12km and 15km, putting their navigation skills to the test while learning valuable lessons in urban navigation, route selection, teamwork, and decision-making under pressure.

We're incredibly proud of the determination, resilience, and enthusiasm shown by all participants throughout the day.

👏 Well done to all Scouts involved on a fantastic effort and achievement! We can't wait to see what adventures you tackle next. 🗺️🏃‍♂️🌦️

🔨🏕️ Working Bee is in Full Swing! 🏕️🔨

A huge thank you to all of our amazing volunteers who have rolled up their sleeves and given their time to help around the hall today.

📸🧩 Tonight our Scouts hit the streets of Salisbury for an action-packed photo scavenger hunt!

Armed with riddles, patrols explored the local area solving riddles and finding objects and capturing creative photos along the way. From riddles to hilarious photo moments, the Scouts showed off their problem-solving, communication and navigation skills all night long. A sneaky icecream may have been had by one patrol too 🤣

A great night full of adventure, laughter and teamwork — proving you don’t need to go far to have an amazing Scout adventure! 🌟🚶‍♂️📷

Day 2 of The Nugget Hungry Joeys Sleepover!
There were some early risers this morning but up we got and pack down began, Pancakes for breakfast, and some quick activity time of clay creating and also more knots before another morning hike!
Back to the hall for some morning tea and a run about before final clean up, closing parade and home.... for a nap right?!
So proud of all the Joey's! They have done great this weekend!
And again, A HUGE thank you to the few parents that came along and helped, and also Skyla for helping so much over the weekend! We couldn't do some of these things without that extra help! 🥰

Thank you to Chilli, Buzz and Skyla (Figgy) for taking time out of your lives to teach the joeys, you are all amazing! Thank you parents that also helped. All our leaders are volunteers and do this for the love of Scouting!!!

Day 1 of The Nugget Hungry Joeys Sleepover!
What a fun filled day it was!
First they all set up their own tents with some help.
They then got to decorate a shirt and hat.
Then came the highlight to them all for the day! THE NUGGET HIKE!!!
We ventured to KFC for our first stop, they then all thought we were going to McDonald's next which we were - until we tricked them! Buzz lead us to Hungry Jacks next, and then the final stop and the Winner of best nuggets voted by all Joeys McDonald's!!!!!
All joeys consumed 10 nuggets each across the hike and a total of half a bottle of tomato sauce!
The afternoon was full of tall towers, falling towers, colouring, clay making, and Knots even our helping parents jumped in for some fun with the knots! all before Mini Camp fires!
Each Joey lit their own fire by striking a match... or 3 but they all did it and got to toast their marshmallows to their own liking!
Dinner came along where they made their own muffin pizzas, before we had a relaxing evening of watching Toy Story before all being tucked up in bed by 8.30pm!
Now let's see what tomorrow brings us!

🔥 This week's Tuesday Night Mystery Box Cooking Challenge 🍳

This Week our Scouts took on a Mystery Box Cooking Challenge, with each patrol creating a unique dish using surprise ingredients and random cooking methods.

From creative ideas to some interesting flavour combinations 😅, all Scouts worked really well together and showed great teamwork throughout the night.

A great night full of problem-solving, cooking and plenty of laughs. Well done everyone! 👏
