It's time for you to again enjoy the glorious sounds of the Adelaide Harmony Choir. Two vastly different pieces providing a powerful singing experience, each in their own way.

Handel's Dixit Dominus fairly rattles along at a furious pace. Try keeping up with us! Yet it also strides majestically, not to be taken lightly. One not to be missed.

On the other hand, Faure's Requim is a magnificently gentle, flowing, almost etheral experience (did you guess its, personally, one of my favourites?)

This month ten enthusiastic Harmony Choir members took part in this years’ Festival Of Voices in Hobart by taking part in the Classical Choral Workshop.

After five days of intensive rehearsal in the group of 125 singers, with soloists and a glorious string orchestra, they performed Handel’s beautiful Dixit Dominus in the Federation Concert Hall to a huge and appreciative audience. They were joined by another thirty choristers for the concert’s finale, the Hallelujah chorus from Handel’s Messiah.

On September 13th this year the Harmony Choir will be singing Dixit Dominus once more, this time as a full choir, in the Wesley Uniting Church, Kent Town.

A highlight of the Adelaide Harmony Choir's 2025/6 Annual General Meeting on Tuesday 14 2026 was the presentation of Service Awards to the following people (from left to right in the photo below):

David Knight 10 years
Dave Smith 10 years
Jenny Mutton 25 years, Life Membership
Irene Lim 25 years, Life Membership
Rosemary Nairn OAM, Honorary Life Membership for exceptional service to the choir over many years.

We warmly congratulate them all for their continuing faithful service to the Choir and wish them continued enjoyment of the marvellous camaraderie we all enjoy as members of the Adelaide Harmony Choir.

And we are always keen to have new members. :)
