Curtains come down on the AHFoZ Trustees and Senior Management Development Seminar which ran from 7-8 May 2026.

Live from the AHFoZ Breakfast Meeting!

Today, the Association of Healthcare Funders of Zimbabwe (AHFoZ) is hosting a high-stakes dialogue on the proposed amendments to SI 330 of 2000.

These changes could fundamentally reshape our healthcare landscape by prohibiting medical aid societies from going into healthcare service provision (e.g . owning clinics, hospitals or pharmacies).

In the room are the Parliamentary Portfolio Committees on Health and Public Service, along with experts from ZiMA, IPMZ, medical aid societies, and the media. The debate centers on how these shifts will impact medical fee affordability, member access to care, and the overall stability of the private health sector.

With a potential 36-month deadline for societies to disinvest from their facilities, the stakes for patients and providers alike couldn't be higher.
