ZAS 2026: REDREV SPEARHEADS YOUTH LAND AND MECHANISATION DRIVE TO POWER VISION 2030 AGRITECH & MINING GROWTH

HARARE, ZIMBABWE — The RedRev Youth Empowerment Fund solidified its position as a primary driver of youth-led commercial mining and farming at the 116th Zimbabwe Agricultural Show (ZAS 2026). Exhibiting under the national theme, “Powering Growth: Where Agriculture, Technology, and Commerce Converge,” the organization unveiled a massive mechanisation drive and land access roadmap. These projects target the children of liberation war veterans and marginalized youth nationwide.

RedRev Youth’s pavilion at the ZANU-PF War Veterans League stand received strong endorsement from key government stakeholders. Minister of Youth Empowerment, Development, and Vocational Training, Hon Tino Machakaire, commended RedRev for its active role in operationalizing the newly launched Presidential Youth Empowerment Fund into visible, high-output field projects. Secretary for War Veterans in the Politburo Cde Douglas Mahiya also hailed the youth empowerment fund as a key step forward for the youth and children of veterans in protecting the economic gains of the liberation struggle.

The exhibition highlighted RedRev’s active role in translating the government’s Vision 2030 into actionable rural industrialisation. With focus on capacity-building in mining and agriculture,

Major Announcements & Strategic Milestones at ZAS were;

Belarus Mechanisation Rollout: RedRev showcased its partnership with the government through developmental institutions such as the EmpowerBank and Zimbabwe Women’s Microfinance Bank (ZWMB). RedRev assists young commercial farmers in accessing business loans and high-tech 81HP Belarus tractors to qualifying young farmers under highly concessional, youth-friendly loan terms.

Land Ownership Progress: RedRev Executive Management presented an update on their ongoing land initiative with the Government of Zimbabwe and Ministry of Lands, Agriculture, Fisheries, and Rural Resettlement. The program is currently securing sub-divided commercial plots for youth in Mashonaland West. This land is being allocated as either farmland, mining land or for tourism, depending on the capacity of the beneficiaries.

US$300,000 EmpowerBank Facility: RedRev finalized details on its financial agreement with the EmpowerBank. This facility provides funding for vocational skills development, asset acquisition, and active agritech operations.

Heritage & Chitepo School of Ideology Drives: Alongside agribusiness, RedRev promoted anti-drug abuse campaigns, cultural events and sporting gala’s in Bulawayo. They urged members to register and complete courses at the Herbert Chitepo School of Ideology to build disciplined, patriotic business operations. RedRev Youth confirmed that over 300 of it’s members have so far enrolled with the Herbet Chitepo School of Ideology and received their certificates.

Special-interest groups Tender Acquisition: RedRev Youth Director Ms Jeanovive Chitsiku also thanked the Ministry of Veterans of the Liberation Struggle for assisting their members, who are children of veterans in accessing public tenders with the government, as a special-interest group. Director Chitsiku stressed that this institutional assistance goes a long way in empowering families of veterans and bringing them into the mainstream economy.

Government Recruitments: In-line with the resolutions at the 2024 National Parliamentary Hearings on the Welfare and Economic empowerment of the veterans of the liberation struggle, RedRev Youth is also generating a database of it’s graduate membersip, who are children of veterans. In partnership with the Ministry of Veterans of the Liberation Struggle, this database will be used to ensure the 25% Recruitment Quota for children of veterans in the Public Service is filled.

REDREV YOUTH UNITES NKULUMANE YOUTH THROUGH SPORTS TO KICK OUT DRUG ABUSE

BULAWAYO — The community of Nkulumane took a decisive stand against substance abuse earlier this month through a vibrant sports gala aimed at steering young people toward healthy lifestyle choices.

RedRev Youth Empowerment Fund, in partnership with the Amazon Tutorial Center, hosted the Anti-Drug and Substance Awareness Campaign on July 4, 2026, at the McInn Grounds in Nkulumane 12. Operating under the theme “Using Sports to Stop Drug Abuse,” the event successfully leveraged the universal appeal of athletics to deliver life-saving educational messages. The gala brought together an energetic crowd of soccer and netball players, local learners, and community members from Nkulumane and its surrounding neighborhoods.

The sporting segment of the campaign featured a highly competitive football tournament. Seven local teams took to the pitch, including RedRev Sporting Academy FC, Amazon FC, Makhandeni FC, HOPG FC, Tshaka Juniors FC, and Prime Stars FC.

Anti-drug and substance abuse prevention messages were shared prominently with players and spectators before kickoff and during the intervals of each match.Beyond the pitch, the event served as a critical educational forum. Facilitators led hard-hitting awareness talks detailing the devastating impact of drug abuse on the younger generation.

Discussions centered on how substance abuse directly triggers poor academic performance, severe health complications, rising crime rates, and permanently lost life opportunities.Interactive prevention dialogues empowered the youth to brainstorm actionable strategies to protect their generation. Key solutions highlighted by the participants included maintaining active involvement in sports and formal education, building the mental resilience to resist negative peer pressure, establishing strong mentorship networks, and creating safe pathways to report abuse and seek professional rehabilitation for those already affected.

Organizers hailed the collaborative initiative as a major success, noting that all participating teams demonstrated exceptional sportsmanship. The young attendees actively pledged to return to their neighborhoods as ambassadors against drug abuse, cementing a strengthened community network dedicated to substance prevention.

Following the successful rollout, organizers expressed their sincere gratitude to the McInn Grounds management, volunteers, partners, and all participating teams for their dedication to securing a drug-free future for the youth.

📢 CALL FOR EXPRESSION OF INTEREST CHILDREN OF WAR VETERANS & YOUTH-OWNED SMEs TENDER REGISTRATION

The RedRev Youth Empowerment Fund invites CHILDREN of Veterans and YOUTH-owned Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) to register for upcoming government and public sector TENDER procurement opportunities.

We are working closely with the Ministry of Veterans of the Liberation Struggle and Ministry of Youth in ensuring these special-interest groups are accomodated and empowered by the LAW, during the tender processes.

TAKE NOTE:

🎯 OBJECTIVE:

To promote economic inclusion and empowerment by creating a dedicated database of qualified, youth-led businesses for exclusive and competitive bidding processes in Zimbabwe.

⚖️ LEGAL PREFERENCES & PRAZ MANDATORY PREFERENCES:

Under the Procurement Regulatory Authority of Zimbabwe (PRAZ) and the PPDPA Act, procuring entities must offer preferential treatment and targeted quotas to youths and veterans

E-GP Integration: This framework is managed securely through the PRAZ e-GP system to ensure legitimate, qualified empowerment and eliminate fronting.

📋 ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

Majority shareholders of the business must be:

Children of War Veterans (of any age)

OR

Youth aged between 18 and 35 years.

OWNERSHIP:

Minimum 51% Child of veteran or Youth ownership and control.

LEGAL STATUS:

Must be a legally registered business in Zimbabwe (Pvt Ltd, PBC, or Cooperative).

💡 SPECIAL ASSISTANCE:
RedRev Youth will actively assist unregistered SMEs to obtain valid legal registration!

TAXATION:
Must possess a valid ZIMRA Tax Clearance Certificate.

TAKE NOTE: RedRev Youth will assist children of veterans / youth without valid documents on this list to register those documents.

1. An active, running business (ANY BUSINESS) or SME Company
2. Registration Documents (CR14 / CR6 / Partnership Deed).
3. Certificate of Incorporation.
4. Valid ZIMRA Tax Clearance Certificate.
5. Certified IDs of all youth or child of veteran directors/shareholders.
6. Proof of bank account (Bank statement or confirmation letter).
7. Company Profile detailing core goods, services, or works offered.

ZITF Update: Youth and Veterans Welfare Collaboration

🚨 UPDATE: YOUTH FARMS ACQUISITION PROGRAMME

AMALINDA SITE MEETING (PRE-ALLOCATION)

Morning Cdes,

Yesterday, we conducted our Pre-Allocation site meeting at Amalinda Farm, Mash West.

In attendance was the local leadearship consisting of the Headman Cde Chishonge (Sabhuku) and the ZANU-PF Chairman Cde Shonai accompanied by their leadership.

Communal Residents at Amalinda Farm also attended.

ESTABLISHMENT OF SITE OFFICE

The Site Office for Amalinda has now been established and set up on the ground.

- The Site Office will be used to hold meetings by the ZANU-PF Leadership and plan operations on the ground moving forward.

- RedRev Youth and ZIMARTT members at Amalinda will provide security and hold meetings at the Site Office.

✅ KEY RESOLUTIONS:

📍SITE SURVEY & ALLOCATIONS :

The surveying and allocation process is now in full swing at Amalinda Farm as per the Presidential Directive.

🤝 COMMUNAL SETTLERS:

- Communal Residents at AMALINDA FARM will not be relocated.
- Their plots will be regularized, and they will receive Offer Letters & Title Deeds alongside the new allottees who are the Youth and Veterans of the Liberation Struggle.

- This is in-line with Government policy regarding regularization of communal settlements.

📝 DOCUMENTATION:

- Headman Chishonge and Chairman Shonai along with their team, are now compiling a list of all existing homesteads at Amalinda Farm for formal land regularization.

- This list will be harmonized with the ZIMARTT / RedRev Youth list of new allotees who will also be offered plots at the farm under this Land Reform Program.

- The final list of those allocated their plots at Amalinda Farm will be submitted to Lands once this compilation process is complete.

📅 SAVE THE DATE: AMALINDA FARM COMMUNITY MEETING

All new beneficiaries, Amalinda residents, stakeholders, Lands office, ZiMARTT, and RedRev Youth members will now meet next on the 8th of May to proof-read the harmonized allocation list and move forward with allocations.

Exhibition Highlights Housing and Capacity-Building Programs for Families and Youth
BULAWAYO — The Ministry of Veterans Affairs, in collaboration with the RedRev Youth Empowerment Fund, recently conducted a joint tour of exhibition stands at the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair (ZITF) in Bulawayo. The tour highlighted programs designed to transition community assistance into long-term socio-economic empowerment for families, dependents, and local youth.

The collaborative initiatives aim to move beyond traditional welfare by actively integrating families into key economic sectors, such as agriculture, mining, tourism, and energy. This approach focuses on building competitive, commercially viable community enterprises that foster inclusive development and create sustainable opportunities for the next generation.

According to Ministry officials, the goal is to shift toward sustainable socio-economic empowerment, enabling families to become independent drivers of economic growth and active participants in mainstream supply chains.

Key departments within the Ministry highlighted specific areas of support:

Welfare and Education: The Dependents Assistance department remains focused on providing essential welfare services, including funding for education, healthcare, and incidental support for the children of families in need.

Skills Development: Capacity-building and practical skills training programs (such as bookkeeping and vocational skills) are being rolled out. These training initiatives equip youth and dependents with the tools needed to sustain family livelihoods and support older family members.

Housing and Finance: Representatives from the RedRev Youth Empowerment Fund—an organization established in 2018 to support youth development—emphasized their ongoing work in implementing housing projects, facilitating access to business loans, and building partnerships with financial institutions to drive youth empowerment.
