At Dizindaba Media, we celebrate a season of achievement, excellence and recognition! From our award-winning journalists to our CEO and Publisher, Anetta Barnes-Mangxaba, these awards reflect dedication, perseverance and a commitment to making a difference through community media.

We celebrate every milestone, honour the hard work behind every achievement, and give God all the glory for the journey.

Today, I had the honour of meeting and greeting the newly appointed Western Cape Minister of Social Development, Hon. Wendy Kaizer-Philander, during the Awareness Campaign focused on building safer, stronger communities.

I had the opportunity to introduce myself and our publication, Dizindaba Media, and share a little about the work we do in community media and our commitment to informing, empowering and giving a voice to our communities.

I believe that community media has an important role to play in amplifying government initiatives, sharing vital social development information, highlighting community needs and ensuring that the voices of ordinary people are heard.

I look forward to exploring opportunities for collaboration between the Department of Social Development and Dizindaba Media, building meaningful partnerships that can contribute to positive change and make a real difference in the lives of our people.

When government and community media work together, we can strengthen communities, amplify voices and create meaningful impact.

Here’s to building bridges, opening doors and turning conversations into opportunities for collaboration! 🤝🏽
