Rusthof Old Age Home Celebrates First Successful Golf Day

Rusthof Old Age Home NPC is delighted to reflect on the tremendous success of our first-ever Rusthof Old Age Home Golf Day, held on Sunday, 13 September 2026, at the beautiful Wellington Golf Club.
What started as an idea to create an additional fundraising opportunity for Rusthof quickly became a memorable day filled with community spirit, generosity, friendship and support for our elderly residents.
The success of the day would simply not have been possible without the incredible contribution of so many individuals, businesses and organisations who came together to support Rusthof Old Age Home.
A Heartfelt Thank You
The Rusthof Board, management, staff and residents would like to extend our sincere and heartfelt appreciation to every donor, sponsor, player and volunteer who contributed towards making this event a success.
To every business and individual who donated prizes, sponsored a hole, contributed towards our goodie bags, assisted with refreshments or provided any form of financial or material support — thank you. Your generosity made a meaningful difference and helped us create an event that we can all be proud of.
To all the golfers and teams who supported the event by entering and spending the day with us, thank you for choosing to support Rusthof. Your participation not only helped make the day enjoyable, but directly contributed towards our ongoing fundraising efforts and the wellbeing of our residents.
A special thank you also goes to our volunteers, whose dedication and hard work before, during and after the event helped ensure that everything ran smoothly. From organising the event and welcoming players to assisting with registration, prizes and various arrangements throughout the day, your contribution was invaluable.
We would also like to express our sincere appreciation to Wellington Golf Club for welcoming Rusthof Old Age Home and for providing the venue and facilities for this important fundraising initiative. Your support and cooperation played a major role in making our first Golf Day possible.
More Than Just a Golf Day
The Rusthof Golf Day was about much more than golf. It was about bringing our community together around a common purpose — supporting and caring for our elderly residents.
Events such as these provide Rusthof with an opportunity to raise much-needed funds while also creating awareness of the needs of our Home and the important role that our community can play in ensuring that our residents continue to receive the care, dignity and support they deserve.
The overwhelming support received for our first Golf Day has shown us what can be achieved when our community comes together.
A New Annual Tradition
Following the success of our inaugural event, Rusthof Old Age Home is proud to announce that the Rusthof Old Age Home Golf Day will now become an annual fundraising event.
Our hope is that this event will continue to grow from strength to strength — becoming bigger, better and even more successful each year.
We look forward to welcoming back our existing supporters while also building new relationships with businesses, organisations, golfers, families and community members who share our commitment to supporting Rusthof and our elderly residents.
Our first Golf Day has set the foundation for what we hope will become a much-loved annual event on the community calendar.
