Our Story
It all began with a burning passion to enable social change with real impact...
Sixteen years ago Hanneli Rupert-Koegelenberg and Hein Koegelenberg along a group of passionate leaders were stirred to do something about the overwhelming needs in the Cape Winelands. They shared a vision to become part of the solution and established a central platform where donations are distributed responsibly. Since then, Valcare has evolved into an acclaimed social investment management company with a thriving nonprofit membership network, powered by some of South Africa’s foremost business leaders.
Today, Valcare is a professional nonprofit company collaborating with multiple partners to ensure that social efforts have an actual impact within communities in the Cape Winelands.
