As we enter the New Year, we do so with grateful hearts, thanking God for His faithfulness and guidance throughout the past year. We extend our sincere appreciation to our Board Members, Volunteers, and all Service Providers for your commitment, wisdom, generosity, and steadfast support of the work of AHOS.

Your dedication and partnership have been instrumental in enabling us to serve with compassion, dignity, and excellence. We are truly blessed by your willingness to walk this journey with us and to be vessels of care and hope in the lives of those we serve.

As we look ahead, we do so with renewed faith, hope, and confidence in the year to come. May the New Year bring you peace, good health, strength, and continued purpose in all that you do.

We continue to stand united in the global movement of the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence.
At Athlone House of Strength, this campaign reflects the work we carry forward every single day. We walk alongside survivors, uplift their stories, and remain steadfast in our mission to offer safety, support, and hope to women and their children escaping abuse.

For us, the 16 Days is a powerful reminder that:

• Healing is possible.
• Safety is a right.
• Communities can break the cycle of violence.

Together, we can create a world where every woman and child is protected, valued, and free from harm.

Let’s raise our voices. Let’s take action. Let’s stand for strength.

At AHOS we assist 👩🏽 and their 👧🏽🧒🏽 from in the Drakenstein Municipal areas where there are no shelters to assist. We also make provision for women and their children of all denominations, race and cultures. 🫶🏾

In 1999, Ms. Pat Martin and a group of 👩 from five churches ⛪️ in Paarl conceived the idea of building a shelter 🏠 to women and their children. In 2001 AHOS – Athlone House of Strength was registered as a non – profit organisation and still going strong to this day. 🙌🏼💛💚
