Ready to invest in yourself and take your skills to the next level? 🎓✨ The Love uMngeni Dream Centre is opening its End-Year Intake, offering exciting courses to help you grow, develop new skills and prepare for future opportunities!

📚 Courses available:
🔹 Office Administration – Now R560 (was R750)
🔹 Home-Based Care – R1,400
🔹 Computer Literacy – Now R700 (was R950)
🔹 Work Ready – R1,300

📅 Courses run from October to December 2026.

THE GIFT OF PLAY 💛🧸📚

Sometimes, the smallest acts of kindness make the biggest difference.

A little girl from Pretoria donated two boxes of her own toys and books to bring joy to other children. Through her grandmother’s kindness and the support of Love uMngeni, these treasures found their way to a local pre-school where they were warmly welcomed.

The children’s excited cries of “Toys!” said it all! 🥹💛 What was once one little girl’s treasure is now a source of laughter, imagination, learning and endless possibilities for many.

Thank you to our wonderful young donor for sharing what she had with others. Her generosity reminds us that you are never too young or too far away to make a difference.

This month, Love uMngeni is launching 120 new learnerships— creating opportunities for people to gain skills, access business support, complete online learning and earn through paid work, while helping keep Howick clean, green and thriving.💚

But we can’t do it alone. Your support can help turn these opportunities into real change.

✨ The Power of One: Sushi Mahadave ✨

Sushi is no ordinary volunteer.

A retired engineering technician who has hiked Mount Everest and travelled the world, she has lived an extraordinary life. She knits beanies for premature babies, has a beautiful heart for children and family, and is passionate about rescuing and protecting dogs. 🐾❤️

Yesterday morning, she chose to spend her time with Love uMngeni, helping us prepare learning resource packs.

Sushi was the only volunteer who arrived.

But instead of being discouraged, she simply asked: “What needs to be done?” — and got to work.

For nearly three hours, she cut out countless printouts, all while sharing snippets of her remarkable story. By the end of the morning, a quarter of the work had been completed — by one person.

Sushi reminded us of the incredible power of “the one” — the person who raises their hand, steps up, and simply shows up.

Our time is priceless. When someone gives theirs so freely and generously, it matters.

Change doesn’t always begin with a crowd.
Sometimes, it begins with one willing person who shows up. ❤️

Thank you, Sushi, for reminding us that one person really can make a difference.
