Bella & Angel have a potential foster placement pending their acceptance of the cat.

Bella has a meet & greet booked for adoption pending.

Something that I am struggling with in terms of serving the community is the unwillingness of pet owners to hold or to medicate their own animals. When I come to treat animals I often have to catch & hold animals through their examination & treatment. I can offer families medication (at great expense to the NPO), but they refuse to administer the medication if it means touching their own pet's mouth. (Often they won't even admit that they have no intention of administering the medicine). Pets are like children, even if they dont want the medicine, they have to have it. Why have a pet you won't touch? Why call for medical help if you won't give the medicine?

Kontak my gerus! Skakel my gerus by 0739903782. Ek kan die diere vir jou vervoer. Kom ons wees verantwoordelike troeteldier-eienaars.

Hi All, the vet is in town on the first Friday of each month. I know there have been a lot of puppies & kittens born recently & they need to be vaccinated at 1 month old. It’s R342 & you can make a payment plan. Please reach out! These babies need to be dewormed & vaccinated, it’s much more affordable than hospitalizing them when they are already sick. Please contact me on 0739903782. I transport the animals for you. Let’s be responsible pet owners.

It is not optional to treat your pets against ticks. If you want to own a pet you must have the means to spray, powder, Bravecto etc them against ticks. Tick borne illness, Billiary, can kill an animal in 48 hours, ehrlichia is longer acting, but also fatal if untreated. Please take tick prevention seriously. Or don't have a pet if you don't want the expense.

Skakel ons asseblief indien jou troeteldier drie maaltye na mekaar nie geëet het nie, as jou troeteldier "nie homself" is nie, of as jou troeteldier meer as gewoonlik slaap... stuur vir my 'n boodskap. Laat my eerder kom kyk as om te wag totdat dit te laat is. 0739903782.

Please phone us, if your pet has not eaten 3 meals in a row, if your pet is "not themself", if your pet is sleeping more than usual... just message me. Rather let me come see than leave it too late. 0739903782.

Canine Distemper: A Deadly Virus You Can Prevent"

Canine Distemper is a highly contagious and often fatal virus that affects your dog’s respiratory, gastrointestinal, and nervous systems.

Symptoms include:

• Fever, coughing, eye/nose discharge

• Vomiting and diarrhoea

• Seizures or twitching

• Thickened paw pads ("hard pad disease")

How it spreads:
Through airborne droplets, shared bowls, or direct contact with infected animals.

Good news? It’s preventable.
The distemper vaccine is safe and effective. Puppies should start vaccines at 6–8 weeks and continue through their first year with regular boosters.

PROTECT YOUR BEST FRIEND—VACCINATE ON TIME.
