Our Bright Team artists are busy creating beautiful mosaic artwork with master tiler and volunteer John Zunino. From concept to design implementation John has taken them through the process. Their work shall be showcased in 2027 at a gallery in Franshboek to raise funds for our Skills Development school.

For many of our families, putting food on the table can be a daily challenge. Your donation helps ease that burden and reminds our families that they are not forgotten, that their community cares, and that there are people who believe in a world where everyone deserves access to nutritious food.

🌿 A MORNING OF GROWTH, RESPECT & EMPOWERMENT AT BRIGHT HAVEN 💚

This morning at Bright Haven, we created two safe spaces for meaningful conversations — one circle for our boys and one for our girls. 💫

Together, we explored what it means to grow into a young man and a young woman, embracing the changes, responsibilities and choices that come with growing up.

Our discussions focused on Gender-Based Violence (GBV), self-respect, dignity, healthy relationships, and the importance of respecting one another. We spoke about what it means to honour ourselves, to value our own worth, and to treat others with kindness, compassion and understanding.

For our boys, we reflected on what it truly means to be a young man — that strength lies not in power or control, but in kindness, courage, responsibility and respect.

For our girls, we explored self-worth, confidence, boundaries, and the importance of knowing that every girl and woman deserves to feel safe, valued and respected.

🌱 At Bright Haven, we believe that meaningful change begins with our children. By creating spaces where they can speak openly, ask questions, listen to one another and learn without judgement, we are planting the seeds for a generation built on empathy, equality and mutual respect.

It starts with our children. It starts with our conversations. It starts with us. ❤️

Together, we can help build a world where every boy grows into a respectful man, every girl knows her worth, and every woman is treated with dignity and respect.

✨ We laughed, we danced, we celebrated — and most importantly, we celebrated our amazing children! ✨

What a beautiful and unforgettable evening at the Bright Haven Annual Fundraiser on 16 October! Our hearts are overflowing with gratitude for a community that continues to believe in our children and the vision of Bright Haven. ❤️

The evening was about so much more than fundraising. It was about celebrating how far our children have come, recognising their achievements, sharing their talents, and witnessing the joy, confidence and potential that shine within each one of them.

Every smile, every performance, every moment of laughter and every dance reminded us why we do what we do. Our children deserve to be seen, heard, supported and given every opportunity to flourish. 🌱✨
