Aerie President’s Corner November 2026

Most of you have probably heard we had an accident at the Aerie. I want to thank the trustees for their fast response, and hard work getting things cleaned up and I am happy to report that we are back in business.

October was a busy month, we initiated 27 new members, had a great Octoberfest, our steak dinner was extremely well received, thanks for cooking Eddie and Richard, Grand Aerie Survey completed, the new Card Bingo game has been a hit and Reida Jones won the October Aerie Basket!

November looks like it will be a busy month also, starting on the 1st when we begin collecting Thanksgiving dinners for Right Turn for Veterans, we’ll post for donations soon, also on the 1st, the Eagle Riders will be serving breakfast along with our first Blessing of the Bikes!

We’ll honor our Veterans on Veteran’s Day the 11th, flag ceremony with PWP Bill Wagner at 11, and free burgers and hot dogs from 12-2. We will be closed on Thanksgiving to give all our volunteers the opportunity to spend the holiday with their family. The Humane Society will be here on the 28th from 10-12 for an adoption event and donations are still being accepted for the HSOY.

Along with Taco Tuesdays, we’ll have Sunday brunch, Saturday Auxiliary dinners, Friday dinners will be Fish on the 6th, Steak the 13th, Chicken the 20th and Ham the 27th.

I want to thank Karen (Red) Andrews for her donation of $300 to the building fund which she made by making and selling jewelry at the Aerie.

Thank you to Keri Lyn Simmons and Marlin Andrews for stepping up and helping with the finance committee.

If you have questions about your hard card or lack thereof, please go to foe.com and register, you can then manage your mailing address, so you’ll receive your hard card next time. If you haven’t received this years’, contact your home Aerie Secretary, the ones that couldn’t be delivered went to your home Aerie.
