~ Celebrating National Non-Profit Day ~

Today, we recognize the incredible nonprofits that work every day to make our community stronger, healthier, and more connected. From providing food and shelter to supporting children, families, seniors, veterans, animals, education, health, survivors of domestic violence and other violent crimes, and so much more. Our community is better because of the people who choose to serve.

At the Yuma Community Food Bank, we are proud to stand alongside so many amazing local organizations, volunteers, donors, and community partners who share one common goal: making a difference in the lives of our neighbors.

🧡Great Partnerships Help Nourish Great Communities🧡

We are grateful for our continued partnership with the Arizona Food Bank Network, which helps bring wonderful products like these beautiful dates from Desert Fruit Farms to the families and communities we serve.

These dates are more than just a delicious, nutritious product, they're a great example of what's possible when growers, food banks, and community partners work together to make sure quality food reaches the tables of our neighbors.

What did you think about the beautiful orange bell peppers we have been able to share? They're known for their bright color, crisp texture, and high vitamin C content. They say they're great raw in salads, dips, sandwiches, and salsas and ideal for roasting, grilling, sautéing, stuffing, soups, and stir-fries. You can also make it a full meal by removing the top and seeds and stuffing it with a rice mixture made to your liking--go protein or vegetarian!
