😃🏆 SCFU was proud to participate in the First Annual Direct Support Professionals Recognition Breakfast, hosted by the Westchester County Department of Community Mental Health and YAI | Seeing Beyond Disability in celebration of Direct Support Professional Recognition Week.

Congratulations to Nabill Maiyaki, Hailyn Gonzalez, and Maya Gray, who were honored at today’s event for their dedication, compassion, and commitment to the people we support. Their work reflects the important role our DSPs play each day in helping individuals live meaningful, inclusive, and self-directed lives.

We are proud to have you represent SCFU and grateful for all that you do!

50 years ago, on this date, Special Citizens Futures Unlimited was officially incorporated and established as a service provider to local men, women, and children in the autism, developmental and intellectual disability community. Since then, we have provided the life-changing and life-affirming care and support that has come to define our mission and purpose. Here’s to five decades of providing dedicated, person-centered, and care-driven essential services to hundreds of local families and their loved ones; and here’s to the next 50 years and beyond! Happy 50th Anniversary to Special Citizens and our sincerest gratitude to everyone who made reaching this milestone possible.
