Today, we celebrate freedom, resilience, and the enduring legacy of those who came before us. Juneteenth marks the day when the last enslaved African Americans learned of their freedom—more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation was signed.
As we honor this historic day, we also recognize that the pursuit of equity, opportunity, and justice continues. At Sister to Sister International, we remain committed to empowering women and girls, strengthening communities, and creating pathways for future generations to thrive.

May we celebrate our history, uplift our culture, and continue the work of building a brighter future together.

Happy Birthday Nalo Russell!
Today we celebrate a remarkable future physician, public health advocate, and leader whose passion for health equity is creating impact both locally and globally. From serving refugees and educating young mothers to conducting research and pursuing her Master of Public Health, Russell continues to lead with compassion, purpose, and excellence.

As she prepares for medical school with aspirations of becoming a cardiothoracic surgeon, we know her future is bright and her impact will be far-reaching.

The 17th Annual Sister to Sister International STEAM Camp is back, offering an empowering, educational, and fun-filled experience for Black and Brown girls and girls of color in grades 7–12 throughout the Lower Hudson Valley.

From exploring exciting STEAM careers and financial literacy to public speaking, civic engagement, mentorship, wellness, and the arts, participants will gain valuable skills, confidence, and lifelong connections in a supportive sisterhood environment.
