Twilight in the Walled Garden: Italian and French Masterworks of the Early Baroque invites you into the intimate, expressive world of 17th- and 18th-century music — where the warmth of the violin, the resonance of the theorbo, and the rich voice of the viola da gamba meet in a quiet evening of beauty and discovery.

Introducing our Session 3 interns! They are here till the end of October, so you’ll be seeing them around a bit. The interns are starting their 4th week (already!) and have harvested the veggie garden twice now. All vegetables go to food banks in Yonkers & Mt Vernon. This time they harvested okra, peppers, zucchini, squash, chives, kale, Swiss chard, cucumbers & Armenian cucumbers. And in the last pic, are the babies to be planted for the autumn crop.

Longtime Untermyer Gardens partner Victor LaGamma Jazz Quartet returns to the Amphitheater for an unforgettable hour of live jazz in one of the city’s most beautiful settings. This past week was a hot one, and a wet one at the end. Our garden is still chugging along this summer with its blooming beauty. Here are some pics our gardener/photographer John Jacono had taken, if you didn’t make it here recently. Come by though! The earlier the better if it’s going to be a very hot & humid day.

Last week we bid adieu to our Session 2 interns. They went above and beyond what was asked of them, without a complaint....

Last week we bid adieu to our Session 2 interns. They went above and beyond what was asked of them, without a complaint. The interns began with greenhouse veggie work. Then they worked on the transition from harvesting spring veggie crops to planting summer veggie crops, to harvesting some current veggies as well. They chipped many of the wood chip trails you walk on around the garden. They also helped out a bunch with our multiple storm damage cleanups. And in between all of that they planted a tree and weeded & weeded & weeded.
We will miss them tremendously!! All vegetables were donated to food banks in Yonkers & Mt Vernon.
Thanks Session 2!!! Session 3 will have some big shoes to fill.
