Because building a strong school community isn't just about what happens inside the classroom. It's about creating opportunities for families to connect, make memories and simply enjoy being together. 💛

💗 OCTOBER IS BREAST CANCER AWARENESS MONTH! 🎀

This month, the ET Booth PTSA is celebrating the survivors, honoring those we've lost, supporting those currently fighting, and reminding everyone that **early detection matters!** 💕

Ladies, let's make sure we're taking care of ourselves, too! Between work, kids, family and everything else life throws our way, it's easy to put ourselves last.

Not this time!💗

Schedule that mammogram when you're due, encourage a friend to schedule hers, and BRING A BUDDY! Sometimes a little encouragement is all someone needs.

To our survivors - WE CELEBRATE YOU! 🎀 Your strength, courage and resilience deserve to be recognized today and every day.

To those still on their journey, know that you're not alone.

Take care of yourself. Check on your people. And remember, your health matters, too!

💙💛 PTSA BY DAY… PROUD PARENTS ALWAYS! 🦅💃🏾

A HUGE thank you to the Etowah Junior Eagles Cheer for hosting such a wonderful **Sweet Escapes Fall Formal** on Saturday night! 🍭✨

What a FUN evening!

Here's the thing about our ET Booth PTSA - yes, we're board members, volunteers and passionate about supporting our school, but **we're PARENTS FIRST!** 💙

And with several of us having 6th graders, Saturday night was extra special.

Watching our kids get dressed up, hang out with their friends, laugh, dance and just enjoy being kids was such a treat!

And let's be honest... some of us were probably more excited about seeing them dressed up than they were. 😂

We also loved having the opportunity to volunteer, meet other parents, see so many familiar faces and make some new connections along the way.

**THIS is what community is all about!**

It's not always about fundraising, school meetings or planning the next event. Sometimes it's simply about showing up, supporting one another and enjoying these moments with our kids.

Because these middle school years? **They're going by FAST!** And we want to soak up every bit of them.

Thank you again to everyone who worked hard to make Sweet Escapes such a memorable evening!

We had a BLAST, and we're grateful we got to be part of it! 💙💛

💙💛 WHAT A WEEK, FALCON FAMILY! AND YES… WE DID THE CHA CHA SLIDE! 😂🦅

If this week taught us anything, it's that when good people come together, GREAT things happen!

First, a HUGE thank you to the parents who joined us for Tacos & Teamwork! 🌮

We laughed, connected, shared ideas and talked about how even 30 minutes of your time can make a difference at ET Booth.

But here's what really made our hearts happy...

The parents who couldn't make it but sent emails saying "COUNT ME IN!"

And the parents we ran into at the school office who were filling out their volunteer applications!

THAT'S WHAT WE'RE TALKING ABOUT! 💙💛

You don't have to be at every event. You don't have to attend every meeting. Sometimes simply raising your hand and saying, "I want to be part of this," means everything.

And then came our first Duty-Free Lunch! 🍎

Today, some of our amazing PTSA members and parent volunteers stepped in to supervise the students so our teachers could enjoy something they absolutely deserve...

A LUNCH BREAK WITHOUT KIDS!

But here's where things got interesting.

The APEX Fundraising team showed up with the MUSIC, the kids were having a blast, and naturally, we decided to join the fun.

Because when the Cha Cha Slide comes on, what exactly are you supposed to do? Stand there?! 😂

We slid to the left. We slid to the right. We probably embarrassed a few of our own children.

And YES, even Dr. Wright was sliding right along with us!

The kids had fun. The teachers got a break. The parents got involved. And we all got a little unexpected cardio!

(It was also dress like Principal Sharrock day!)

THIS IS HOW PTSA ROLLS! 🦅

We're not just here to raise money, sell merchandise or ask for volunteers.

We're here to build bridges.

Between our parents and teachers.

Between our school and community.

And most importantly, to create experiences where our fabulous students feel supported, celebrated and connected.

We're proving that you can have fun AND make an impact. In fact, we think that's exactly how it should be!

To every parent who showed up, reached out, signed up or simply said, "How can I help?" - THANK YOU.

You're helping us build the kind of school community our kids deserve.

And to our teachers and staff, we appreciate you more than you know!

Good people. Great community. Brighter together. 💙💛

P.S. If your child came home saying their parent was dancing in the cafeteria... we cannot confirm or deny anything. But we CAN confirm that Dr. Wright knows the Cha Cha Slide! 😂🕺🏾

🌮💙 PTSA VOLUNTEERING: LET'S BUST A FEW MYTHS! 😂

Falcon Family, we need to have a little conversation about volunteering. Because apparently, some of y'all think joining the PTSA means signing away your free time, your weekends and your firstborn child. 😂

Let's clear up a few things!

🚨 MYTH #1: If I join the PTSA, they're going to put me to WORK!

BUSTED! Joining the PTSA does NOT mean you're required to volunteer. Your membership alone supports our students, teachers and school. No mandatory shifts. No surprise assignments. No lifetime contracts. 😂

🚨 MYTH #2: If I volunteer ONE time, Nicole is going to have me on speed dial!

BUSTED! We promise not to show up at your house with a clipboard because you helped us at Kona Ice. 😂 One event can mean just ONE event!

🚨 MYTH #3: I don't have enough time to volunteer.

BUSTED! Got 30 minutes? WE CAN USE YOU! You can help with lunch duty, reach out to a local business, share an event or help us behind the scenes. You don't have to physically be at the school to make a difference.

🚨 MYTH #4: The PTSA just wants my money.

BUSTED! Yes, fundraising matters. But you know what matters more? What we DO with that money! We're sponsoring Student of the Month goodie bags, celebrating positive behavior, appreciating our teachers and staff, and creating experiences that make middle school memorable.

🚨 MYTH #5: My middle schooler doesn't want me involved anymore.

PARTIALLY BUSTED! 😂

Okay, they might not want you waving wildly across the cafeteria yelling, "THERE'S MY BABY!"

But here's something important...

Just because our kids stop asking us to show up doesn't mean they stop needing us to.

Middle school is a BIG deal. These kids are figuring out who they are, navigating friendships, building confidence and trying to find their place in the world.

And while they're busy pretending they don't need us, they're still watching.

They're watching who shows up. Who cares. Who celebrates them. Who invests in their school.

We're not asking you to give up your weekends, your evenings or your sanity. We're asking you to find one small way to make these years better for our kids.

That's it.

You don't have to chair a committee. You don't have to volunteer every week. And you certainly don't have to become one of those parents who lives at the school. We love those parents, by the way. 😂💙

Maybe you can give us 30 minutes.

Maybe you can help with one event.

Maybe you know a business willing to donate to Bingo Night.

Maybe you can give a teacher a lunch break.

IT ALL COUNTS.
