🐾 You Filled Luke's Wish List! Now Let's Help Leia and Lando! ❤️

WOW! Thank you to everyone who stepped up and filled Luke's Amazon Wish List! Your kindness and generosity for The Ohio Four continue to amaze us, and we're so grateful for your support.

Now, we're hoping you'll help us spread a little more love to Leia and Lando! Both have Amazon Wish Lists with items that will help their foster families provide the care and comfort they deserve.

❤️ And we have a wonderful update on Leia!

Leia is settling in nicely with her foster family and has even made friends with the resident cat! 🐱❤️

She also had a veterinary appointment on Monday, and we're happy to report that her doctors are pleased with her medical progress. They're now discussing when it will be safe for Leia to undergo surgery to remove her mammary tumors. A referral to a dermatologist is also in the works.

We're encouraged by her progress and grateful for everyone who continues to cheer her on!

❤️ Lando has peach fuzz!

We'll continue to share updates on these beautiful Springers.

Gorgeous Lorelei in Ohio needs a forever home! Here is this very special girl’s story:

We saw a social media post looking for help for this sweet girl. We know she’s not a purebred Springer, but she needed help and we had a wonderful volunteer step up to foster Lorelei. So, we took the plunge.

Lorelei was adopted from a humane society at the age of one. They had advertised her as a spaniel/greyhound mix, but we believe that to be a guess. She shows absolutely no signs of greyhound. A young woman who used to live with Lorelei confiscated her from her mother after severe neglect was taking place. Over a few weeks, she worked on Lorelei’s coat and eating situation.

Lorelei currently weighs 37 pounds and could ideally weigh 45. She recently saw the vet to get some things updated and got a clean bill of health. Our vet believes that Lorelei was kept confined for excessively long periods of time, most likely laying in urine and f***s. She has pressure spots/stains/sores on nearly every joint, including the vertebrae of her tail, and signs of recent skin irritations that are not due to fleas. She now shows no signs of skin irritations or allergies now that she’s been in a better environment. The young woman cut Lorelei’s coat very short in an attempt to get her in better condition. She stated that her hair is normally much longer (how beautiful she will be!)

Ranger ❤️

We are happy to report the recent adoption of Rango (now Ranger!). This sweet boy came to because his former family was struggling with some issues outside of their control. They loved Ranger but knew he would do better in a different environment.

We thank his foster family for taking him in and finding the perfect adopters! It’s evident that Ranger is in love with his new forever family and we wish them many years of beautiful memories together. 🐾🐶

TRANSPORT HELP NEEDED: GAHANNA, OH TO STROUDSBURG, PA

Obie, one of The Ohio Four, is ready to make his way to his foster home in Rhode Island, and we need volunteers to help get him there.

Obie is currently in Gahanna, Ohio, and needs transportation to at least Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, where his foster family can pick him up.

If he's anything like his three former housemates, who are already in foster care, Obie should travel well in the car and will not need to be crated. He isn't very comfortable walking on a leash, so he will likely need to be carried and lifted during transport.

We are looking for volunteers who can drive any portion of this route. You do not need to make the entire trip. Even one leg of the journey would be a tremendous help and ESRA will reimburse you for mileage.

If you can assist with transportation, please contact ESRA Ohio/S. Indiana via email: [email protected] OR send a Facebook message to us.

Let's get Obie on his way to his foster family!💞

Please share this post to help extend reach.🐾
