09/13/2026

This is the part of 1 Million Cups most people don’t see.

After everyone leaves, the organizers huddle.

What worked?
What didn’t?
What can we do differently?
How do we make this more valuable for the entrepreneur who walks through that door next Wednesday?

Because we know what it feels like to have an idea and not know the next move. To need a connection you don’t have yet. To be good at what you do, but still have areas of business you’re trying to figure out.

So we keep thinking. We keep creating. We keep improving.

Not because we have all the answers, but because you shouldn’t have to figure out all the answers by yourself.

If you’re building something and could use a room full of fresh perspectives, resources and people who genuinely want to see you win…

This is your sign. Come sit with us. ☕️

Last week at 1 Million Cups Woodbridge ☕️💡

We had the opportunity to hear from Bryan DePhillip, founder of UKEMI Health Partners, and learn about the work he’s doing around fall prevention, fall protection, and helping people maintain their confidence and independence through movement.

After the presentation, we got the room involved in some interactive community-building exercises designed to move the needle in everyone’s business.

Because sometimes what you need is a fresh perspective, a new connection, the right resource, or simply someone in the room saying, “I can help with that.” 🙌🏾

That’s what 1MC is about, real connections, real support, and people genuinely helping people grow.

You don’t have to build alone. 🤎☕️
We’re in Woodbridge!

08/08/2026

Last week at 1 Million Cups Woodbridge, things didn’t go exactly as planned, so we switched it up. ☕️

Instead of our traditional presentation, we decided to get the whole room involved with a little Speed Community Building.

3 minutes. One on one. Learn about the person sitting across from you, learn about their business, and then switch!

And honestly, it turned into a really good morning.

As organizers, we also have to hold ourselves accountable when we know we didn’t meet our own expectations. Acknowledge it, adjust, and figure out how to still make the moment valuable for the people who showed up.

So that’s exactly what we did.

People who may have only exchanged a quick “good morning” before actually got a chance to sit down, talk, learn about each other’s businesses, and make a real connection.

It was a good reminder for us too.

1 Million Cups isn’t just about the person presenting at the front of the room. It’s about everybody IN the room.

Sometimes you just have to get the room involved and let community do what community does. ❤️☕️
