District 6 hosted yet another outstanding Trapper Education class, and the future of Wisconsin trapping looks bright. Students jumped right into hands‑on learning, gaining confidence with trap handling, set construction, regulations, and ethical harvest practices.

The instructors delivered the kind of real‑world knowledge you only get from seasoned trappers, and the class brought great energy and respect for the craft.

Big thanks to the D6 crew for volunteering their time and to every student who showed up ready to learn. Our traditions stay strong because of you.

Celebrating the Next Generation of Wisconsin Trappers
On April 19th, 2026, District 7 proudly graduated 18 Trappers Ed students at the Isaac Walton League in Fond du Lac, WI.
These students completed hands‑on training in safety, ethics, and Wisconsin’s trapping heritage — and we’re excited to welcome them into our community.

Mark your calendars!

Legacy + Education

This weekend'sTrapper Ed class in Wausaukee, Wi was one for the books.

At 92 years old, Marlin Falkenrath is still out front teaching, demonstrating, and inspiring. As one of the founding fathers of the Wisconsin Trappers Association, his impact on our heritage is immeasurable.

Participants learned everything from trap preparation and humane sets to wildlife behavior, safety, and the role trappers play in conservation. The students asked great questions, handled equipment, and walked away with a deeper understanding of responsible trapping.

We’re grateful for Marlin’s continued commitment — and proud to see new trappers learning from one of the very best.

Great work everyone!
