Delavan Historic Foundation, Inc. We are a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that was founded in September of 1995.

The purpose of the corporation is to serve as a charitable and educational organization dedicated to engage in activities to serve and educate the community and general public by and through the preservation, enhancement and promotion of community awareness and appreciation of the cultural and historically significant heritage and attributes of the Delavan, WI area, including Walworth County.

As we approach 2026, the Delavan Historic Foundation Board would like to thank all of our 2025 donors. As many of you know, DHF is responsible for the hanging flower baskets and American Flags. We purchase the flags and flowers and pay for them to be watered daily. Our letter campaign will go out in March.

The DHF also puts on the downtown Wine Walks and Brew Walk. We share the earned proceeds with other non profits, such as the Delavan Historical Society Society, Congdon Gardens, the Phoenix Park Bandshell Park Bandshell and Rotary, while putting a portion into the Walldog Mural fund for maintenance and future murals. These events require volunteers to help, and donations. Perhaps you’d like to help with one of these events?

2026 is the 250th Birthday of the United States, so this year some of the downtown flags will be the 250 flags, which are more expensive. We also help with Scarecrow Fest and Brick Street Days. The DHF is about making our community better through beautification, events, and community commitment.

Help the Delavan Historical Society by participating non their fundraising in 2026….. sounds like a good New Year’s resolution!

As we approach a new year, the Delavan Historical Society Board would like to thank all of our 2025 sponsors, volunteers and members.

As we approach 2026, we are excited. The library expansion has begun and DHS moving into the Aram Building is in sight (probably early 2027, but in sight)! Moving and organizing a new location will cost money, so we will be having more fundraisers in 2026.

We will also have a donor wall in the new location where we will recognize the sponsorship levels . . . Watch for more information on this in 2026!

Spring of 2026 we will have an online auction fundraiser and we will be looking for donated items. We would love to include artwork from local artists.

You can still buy tickets thru TODAY to the Dancing Horses show Friday January 2, 2026 at 7pm. Tickets are a deal at $20! Start the new year out with some fun while helping the Delavan Historical Society raise funds!
