What actually happens at a Rest & Resilience Retreat?

Think of it less like attending a program and more like being given an all-inclusive weekend getaway—with intention.

You arrive at a private lakefront retreat property with your accommodations, meals, activities, and wellness experiences taken care of.

Depending on the weekend, that may include massage, yoga, sauna, boating, fishing, golf, bowling, pickleball, coffee and journaling, outdoor recreation, local experiences, home-cooked meals, and plenty of time to simply relax.

The exact activities may change, but the purpose doesn’t.

We intentionally create space to slow down, take care of yourself, spend meaningful time with your significant other or family, and connect with others who understand the first responder life.

There’s no packed conference schedule.
No training.
No expectation to spend the entire weekend talking about the job.

It’s a getaway with intention.

A chance to take care of the person behind the uniform—and the people who walk beside them.

And thanks to our donors, sponsors, and community partners, participants attend at no cost.

Our next four Rest & Resilience retreats are just around the corner and they are made possible in part by some incredible community partners!

We are grateful to recognize these organizations for investing in first responders and their families:

💙 Cumberland Federal Bank — $3,000
💙 Rosemount American Legion — $3,000
💙 Rosemount First State Bank— $1,000
💙 Gateway Bank — $500
💙 100 Women Who Care – Barron County — $1,200

Together, these organizations have contributed $8,700 toward supporting Rest & Resilience retreats operations in 2026.

Their support helps us provide fully funded retreat experiences where first responders and their families can step away from the demands of everyday life, rest, reconnect, and focus on their well-being.

In the weeks ahead, four more groups will have that opportunity.

To each of these organizations: thank you for believing in our mission and helping make these weekends possible.

This is what community supporting first responders looks like. 💙

💙 $19,675 RAISED! 💙

The final numbers are in from our June 22 fundraiser, and we are incredibly grateful to share that together, we raised $19,675 for Rest & Resilience Retreat!

Every ticket purchased, auction bid, raffle ticket, donated item, sponsorship, and contribution helps us continue providing fully funded retreat experiences for first responders and their families.

These funds will help support not only the retreat weekends themselves, but everything it takes to continue the mission of R&R — creating meaningful experiences, reaching more first responders and families, building community partnerships, and growing an organization that we hope will serve the first responder community for many years to come.

And none of this happens without an incredible community behind us.

To every business and individual who donated, every sponsor, every volunteer, the Rosemount American Legion, and every person who attended, bid, purchased raffle tickets, donated, shared our mission, or helped behind the scenes — THANK YOU.

What started as an idea — creating a place where first responders and their families could step away from the demands of the job, breathe, reconnect, and be cared for — continues to grow because people like you believe in it too.

$19,675 raised. One incredible night. An impact that will reach far beyond it. 💙

Thank you for believing in Rest & Resilience Retreat and helping us continue building what comes next.

💙 A Month of Recognition... A Year-Round Commitment

As Law Enforcement Child Month comes to a close, our commitment does not.

This month has reminded us that behind every officer is a family—and behind every family are children whose lives are shaped by service, sacrifice, and resilience.

At Rest & Resilience, we believe these children deserve to be seen, encouraged, and supported—not only during one month each year, but throughout the entire year.

Our mission has always been about strengthening first responders by strengthening the families who stand beside them.

Thank you for joining us this month as we've celebrated the incredible children behind the badge.

Together, we can continue building stronger families, stronger first responders, and stronger communities.

💙 Because resilience is a family journey.

💙 Resilience Begins at Home

Resilience isn’t built in a single moment. It’s built over time through connection, trust, love, and support.

For children in law enforcement families, resilience often grows through unique challenges most people never see. As we recognize Law Enforcement Child Month, we honor the children who stand behind the badge—and the strength they show every day.

At Rest & Resilience, we believe supporting first responders starts by supporting the families who walk beside them. Because when families are stronger, first responders are stronger. And stronger first responders build stronger communities.

💙 Because resilience begins at home.

While July recognizes Law Enforcement Child Month, Rest &Resilience proudly serves first responders and their families across law enforcement, fire, EMS, dispatch, and corrections.

💙 The Quiet Sacrifice

When people think about law enforcement, they often picture the uniform, the badge, and the patrol car.

What they don't always see are the children waiting at home.

Children who understand that birthdays may be celebrated on a different day.

Children who learn that holidays sometimes happen after a shift ends.

Children who quietly worry when Mom or Dad responds to dangerous situations.

These sacrifices are rarely talked about, but they are very real.

During Law Enforcement Child Month, we recognize these remarkable children whose strength, patience, and resilience often go unseen.

At Rest & Resilience, we believe supporting first responders means supporting the families who walk this journey with them every day.

Because behind every badge is a family.

And every family has a story worth caring for.

💙 July marks the first-ever Law Enforcement Child Month.

Behind every badge is a family—and behind many first responders are children who make sacrifices most people never see. They share missed holidays, changing schedules, and the challenges that come with a parent serving others.

At Rest & Resilience, we know supporting first responders means supporting their families too. Strong families build stronger first responders, stronger agencies, and stronger communities.

This month, we honor the incredible children behind the badge. Thank you for your strength, resilience, and unwavering support.

💙 Because resilience is a family journey.

WOW — we’re still soaking in the support from Monday’s fundraiser. ❤️💙

While we’re still working through final numbers, what we’ve seen so far is incredible. We know we met and exceeded our goal, and the support shown for Rest & Resilience Retreat was truly amazing.

Thank you to everyone who attended, donated, sponsored, bid in the auctions, bought raffle tickets, donated auction items, volunteered, helped behind the scenes, and to the Rosemount Legion for hosting us.

We truly could not continue this mission without the support of our community members. I honestly don’t have the words to describe how thankful we are — or how powerful it was to see the amount of support in the room and then look at the numbers after the event.

Because of this support, we’ll be able to continue funding retreats for MN/WI first responders and their families — giving them the opportunity to step away, rest, reconnect, and focus on wellness.

Thank you for believing in this mission and helping make this impact possible. More photos impact numbers and thank-yous to come soon.
