Are you or someone you know missing out on accessing Winona's new makerspace? Thanks to an anonymous donation of a free month of access, we're seeking nominations for a creative person who would most benefit from Winona Creators Collective. Maybe it's someone who can't create their art at home, or someone with a great prototype idea for a business? Or maybe it's just someone who wants to get out and get active in a creative space in town?

Last Saturday we hosted our first Learn to Hand Mend class, funded by a Winona Community Foundation grant. We had eight students learning how to stitch and make patches to mend their old clothes and fabric items. We've got two more classes scheduled in September and October, if you want to learn as well!

Fun night of preparing test tiles and mixing glazes for the makerspace’s clay space. Thank you to everyone who came out to help!

Got a few more classes added to the schedule, and some great chances to learn coming up! Some highlights include two ceramics courses for beginners, a deep dive into woodcarving, a free mending class, and a chance to try 3d printing. More clay! We've stocked up on your favorites, but due to some shortages we are trying out a B-Clay With Grog to temporarily replace our mid-fire white. Members can buy clay at the makerspace to use for their projects, with glaze and firing included!
