Rios, the Spanish Language Immersion Program in Winona, is looking for host families for next year’s interns—please consider getting involved and help spread the word. For the 2026–27 school year, the program hopes to welcome four interns, but that’s only possible with the support of local families. These interns play a vital role in our immersion classrooms, providing both academic and linguistic support while bringing the target language to life for students. They are truly the heartbeat of the program, strengthening the experience for both teachers and learners. Hosting an intern is essential to keeping this program strong and authentic.

Additional benefits of hosting an intern:
- Hosting is a unique opportunity to experience another culture, language, and perspective without leaving your house.
- Interns often share meals, traditions, and stories from their home countries.
- You’re giving a young educator a home base while they pursue a meaningful experience.
- Many host families build lasting friendships and stay in touch for years.

If you’re interested in learning more or getting involved, please check out the flyer for details and next steps
