Old Business
Cispus – $861.90 available for next year. We need to set a meeting with Elementary, District and anyone else running this program early in the upcoming year to come up with a solid plan moving forward. Rachael will start this process.
Scholarship awards –We will add a release for use of name and image for winners, more detailed and complete directions for claiming and sending scholarship funds, FMX for scholarship auction night early.
Impacks School Supplies – Lower participation than expected, updated easier donation option on website, emails and facebook posts and messenger advertising ongoing.
New Business
Back to School Events at Elementary and Middle-High School – WSCA volunteer at info table, photo backdrop, date?
Tentative dates for next year’s events – Rachael will email Ms Auckland to plan
Draft a budget for 2026-2027 school year – Amended, Rachael moves to approve, Mikel seconds, motion passed.
Update Google Calendar with events and reminders – Jennifer and Rachael
Create event checklists – same as above
Organize storage – 7/28 5:30pm
Finalize Bylaws – Board is reviewing and finalizing before 8/31, Mikel is lead on this
Discuss opening another bank account specifically for scholarship, Cispus, etc. funds – No for now
Quickbooks non profit platform –Yes we will try it out
Zeffy extra capabilities; newsletter, emails, etc. Can we set up Color Run with opt in for privacy? Explore event set up options in Zeffy: Auction Feature. Halloween: trunks, volunteers, and general registration. Theatre Camp: tickets, flower sales, etc. – Jennifer sent district email regarding Color Run
Quarterly Newsletter? Volunteer emails? Upcoming Meeting email reminders; use google meet via our WSCA account?
Update Teacher Wishlist: where does it live? What is the process for district funds? – Mikel is lead on this
School Board meeting attendance – Once per quarter with newsletter info
