We would like to invite you to be a part of something magnificent. One of the lessons we’ve learned on our journey to produce the award-winning script Sacajawea, The Windcatcher, the award-winning Moon Drake children’s series, and the award-winning book Crabtree: Lost Kids of Borealonon, is the importance of showing respect and honor toward Indigenous people and their rich history and cultural wisdom from around the world.
As a nonprofit for the Arts, Humanity Shines Organization is a 501c3 tax-exempt company dedicated to that quest (all donations are tax-deductible). In truth, we are all equal and indigenous to some place on the earth, yet racism still lives. But through everything we’ve collectively experienced many hearts are awakening to injustice and inequality. Those who are listening are being called to do the right thing for people – to give back and to lift-up others no matter where they live or the color of their skin.
The earth is rich with stories and legends from the Ages. Their wisdom has meaning and relevance to our time and for all people. It is to our advantage to listen and embrace the spiritual energy that guides many indigenous groups by protecting and respecting the Earth, Nature and the Universe. This exact energy guided the Ancients, and it will guide us today if we let it.
For generations, artists of all backgrounds have been fascinated with the creative elements of indigenous cultures and the West. From artwork, to writings, to songs, to movies – the passion to share the powerful, timeless lessons is unstoppable and unbridled. Humanity Shines Organization is committed to that quest through our endeavors in 2026-27, and beyond.
As part of our purpose, we ask for your scholarship support to help us bring opportunities to Native young people who have a passion for filmmaking. Our Vision Quest Film Internship program will provide professional hands-on and motivational training. For these interns, it will be an experience of a lifetime, as they can be a part of an epic feature film production about Sacajawea.
In addition, our Warrior Woman Spirit Campaign was created in the spirit of Sacajawea as we recognize she was one of the many lost, stolen and abused Indigenous women from the Ages. Her story is for our time because these women and girls are still being taken, and many are being murdered. We need your support to help us honor women and to reach arms around the world, to awaken, to enlighten and to encourage sisters of the Earth to share their own stories of hope with people everywhere.
