🎵 Your child's nervous system is always listening. So is yours.

What if one of the most accessible tools for supporting emotional regulation, resilience, connection, and well-being was something you already use every day?

Music.

At the Health & Healing Expo this November, we're excited to welcome Grammy Award-winning producer, composer, and sound healing pioneer Barry Goldstein for a fascinating presentation:

Acousticeuticals™: The Science and Experience of Music as Medicine for Children and Caregivers

Drawing from more than 30 years of experience at the intersection of music, neuroscience, and healing, Barry will explore how intentional sound can influence emotional, cognitive, and physiological well-being.

You'll discover:
How music can help reduce stress and support nervous system regulation
The science behind sound and emotional resilience
Practical listening experiences you can use at home
Simple strategies to support both children and caregivers

Whether you're a parent, practitioner, educator, or simply curious about the healing power of sound, you'll leave with actionable tools you can begin using immediately.

Join Barry and an incredible lineup of world-renowned experts at the Health & Healing Expo by Documenting Hope.

Book your tickets soon, prices increase June 30!

I have some exciting news! 🎉 I'll be speaking at the Health & Healing Expo by Documenting Hope — November 21–22 in Orlando, Florida — and I'd genuinely love to see you there.

I keep coming back to this event for one reason: the people. The families and practitioners who show up truly get it — they know real healing means finding root causes, not just managing symptoms.

I'll be sharing practical strategies on therapeutic diets for autism, ADHD, and PANS/PANDAS, and joining a panel on picky eating. The speaker lineup covers everything from microbiome science to nervous system regulation to the gut-brain connection.
But more than the information — it's the feeling in the room. A community of people who understand these challenges and refuse to give up. 💛

Come join us in Orlando.

💩 What if one of the easiest ways to check your child's health is something you flush away every day?

P**p may not be a popular dinner-table topic, but it can tell you a lot about what's happening inside the body.

Healthy p**p should be:
✔ Brown in color
✔ Soft but formed
✔ Easy to pass without straining
✔ Happening daily

When p**p is hard, pellet-like, loose, watery, unusually colored, or infrequent, it may be a sign that something deeper needs attention—from hydration and nutrition to nervous system regulation and gut health.

One surprising fact? Many people are told it's "normal" for children to go several days without p**ping. But normal doesn't always mean optimal.

The gut is connected to everything from digestion and immunity to behavior, mood, and brain function. That's why paying attention to p**p patterns can provide important clues long before bigger symptoms show up.

If your child's p**p doesn't look like a smooth banana or sausage shape (Types 3-4 on the Bristol Stool Scale), it may be time to dig deeper.

💛 Read more about what healthy p**p can reveal about your child's health.

What if the diagnosis wasn't the end of the story?

When a child is struggling with autism, ADHD, asthma, allergies, autoimmune issues, developmental delays, or chronic illness, parents are often told to manage symptoms and lower their expectations.

But what if there was another path?

In this free guide from Documenting Hope, you'll meet 6 moms who refused to accept that their child's diagnosis was their destiny.

You'll read powerful stories of families who faced:

💛 Autism and developmental delays
💛 ADHD and behavioral challenges
💛 Asthma and chronic inflammation
💛 Autoimmune conditions
💛 Food sensitivities and immune dysfunction

More importantly, you'll learn the common themes that emerged in their healing journeys, including nutrition, reducing inflammation, identifying root causes, supporting gut health, addressing environmental factors, and becoming a powerful advocate for your child.

These stories aren't about perfection.

They're about hope.

Because when you're in the middle of sleepless nights, endless appointments, and unanswered questions, sometimes what you need most is to hear from another parent who's been there.

Picky eating is often dismissed as "just a phase."

But what happens when mealtimes become stressful, nutrition suffers, or a child's food choices become increasingly limited?

At the Health & Healing Expo by Documenting Hope, we're bringing together four leading experts for a special panel discussion on picky eating and feeding challenges:

• Shandy Watters, M.A., CCC-SLP, FNTP
• Lena Livinsky, M.A., CCC-SLP
• Ashley Thurn, OT
• Julie Matthews, MS

Together, they'll explore the many factors that can influence feeding challenges, including sensory processing, oral motor skills, nutrition, family dynamics, environmental influences, and practical strategies that can help make mealtimes more successful.

Whether you're a parent, caregiver, educator, therapist, or healthcare professional, you'll walk away with a deeper understanding of why feeding challenges occur and actionable insights you can put into practice.

Because sometimes the question isn't "Why won't they eat?"

It's "What is their behavior trying to tell us?"

If this topic resonates with you, wait until you see the rest of the speaker lineup. We've brought together experts from across the health and wellness spectrum to share practical solutions, emerging research, and inspiring stories of healing.

Many children go through phases of “picky eating.”

But for many families navigating autism, feeding challenges can become something much deeper.

For many children with autism, mealtime challenges go far beyond refusing vegetables or wanting the same snack every day.

Sensory overwhelm. Gut health issues. Oral motor challenges. Nutritional deficiencies. Anxiety around food. Nervous system dysregulation.

These are just some of the underlying factors that can make eating feel genuinely difficult and distressing for a child.

In fact, research suggests up to 80% of children with autism may experience feeding challenges severe enough to qualify as a Pediatric Feeding Disorder.

This article explores:
• The difference between developmentally appropriate picky eating and Pediatric Feeding Disorders
• Why feeding challenges are more common in autism
• The sensory, medical, and nutritional factors that may be contributing
• Practical, compassionate strategies parents can begin using right away
• When it may be time to seek support from a feeding specialist

Most importantly, it offers hope and a whole-child perspective for families navigating stressful mealtimes.

What if the diagnosis wasn’t the full story?

Some of the most devastating words a parent can hear are:
“Your child will always…”

But what if that label is a starting point...not a life sentence?

What if symptoms aren’t random problems to suppress… but signals pointing toward deeper answers?

This perspective changes everything.

Because a diagnosis can provide clarity.
But it can also unintentionally create limits.

At Documenting Hope, we believe in looking beneath the label:
• Gut health
• Nutrient deficiencies
• Environmental exposures
• Nervous system regulation
• Mitochondrial function
• Total load

Not because diagnoses aren’t real.
But because children are far more dynamic, adaptable, and capable than many families are led to believe.

This article may completely change how you think about chronic symptoms, autism, developmental delays, ADHD, and healing itself.
