Last night we had Joseph Stanley as our guest speaker. He spoke about his Flag Pole Project. He wants to raise a flagpole on the Scantic Museum land to show appreciations of East Windsor Veterans. He is a student at the Metropolitan Learning Center and this is his 10th grade project. The Rotary was very happy to donate $ 100 to his project. Good luck Joseph in your venture and your future.

We will be having "Dessert with Santa" on Tuesday, December 9,2014 from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm at Revay's Garden Center, North Road, Broad Brook. Bring a camera so you and your child or family can have their picture taken with SANTA. After having your picture taken, then Santa will give you a choice of a book and also a cookie.

East Windsor will be having their annual E.W. Community Day on September 20, 2014. The club will be taking part in the festivities. The club is looking for volunteers to man their booth. If interested contact Bobbi Mazurek, President at 860-490-3948.

The Rotary Club of Broad Brook will be again selling Lyman Orchard Pies and cookies for a fundraiser this October. These pies are made from all natural fruit the old fashioned way, one at a time. Starting from scratch with every pie, they peel and slice fresh apples. Many are hand-picked fruits from nearby Middlefield, CT orchards. Pies are frozen, ready for you to bake for a special occasion

The Club is collecting used soaps which will then be melted together. They are made into larger soaps which are in turn are sent to developing countries for the population to use for sanitation and to prevent disease.

The studio is setup and ready to go for a marathon filming of 4 episodes of our club's show tomorrow! The new episodes...
