If you're coming to tomorrow/Tuesday, Sept. 1's 6:30 p.m. free "Concert on the Windsor Town Green" in Windsor Center, volunteers from the Windsor Food and Fuel Bank will welcome all donations of non-perishable foods and funds.

Thank you to the Windsor Lions Windsor Connecticut for hosting their August 8th "Drive-Through Food Collection" outside L.P. Wilson Community Center to benefit our Windsor Food & Fuel Bank. Pictured here with just some of the food that was donated. We are so grateful to them and to everyone who drove up to support this effort! THIS SATURDAY, AUGUST 8th, the Windsor Lions Windsor Connecticut will hold their annual "Drive-Thru Food Collection" to benefit the Windsor Food and Fuel Bank. Stop by any time BETWEEN 9 A.M. and 1 P.M. at L.P. Wilson Community Center on 599 Matianuck Ave. in Windsor. THANK YOU, WINDSOR LIONS!!!

THIS THURSDAY, AUGUST 6 at the free Windsor Concert on the Green, volunteers will welcome donations of food and funds for the Windsor Food and Fuel Bank! Join us outdoors on the Windsor Town Hall lawn on Broad St., presented by First Town Downtown Inc. From 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., Central Connecticut's Soul Afire band will take the stage with funky, bluesy, soulful, fusion-based rock.

The collection for the Food Bank is coordinated by Windsor residents Joyce and Dick Armstrong, who have sponsored food drives at the summer concert series for the past four years.
Hunger does not take a summer vacation, and there are many Windsor residents who need some help right now.

MOST NEEDED FOOD includes peanut butter and jelly, spaghetti sauce & pasta, macaroni and cheese, canned meats, crackers, cereal, baked beans, canned vegetables, canned fruit, fruit juice, coffee, tea and hot chocolate, and condiments such as ketchup, mustard, and mayonnaise.

Windsor Food and Fuel Bank, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that works to accomplish its Mission of assuring that no Windsor resident is hungry, cold, or goes without basic necessities. The generosity of local individuals, businesses, civic and religious organizations provides for 95 percent of the WF&FB’s annual operating budget. If you are a Windsor resident and are not a current client of the Windsor Food & Fuel Bank but find yourself in need of food assistance, call Windsor Social Services at 860-285-1839, Mondays through Fridays. THANK YOU to Edward Jones Financial Advisors in Windsor for its recent five-day community food drive for the Windsor Food and Fuel Bank. Four local Edward Jones agents and their staff hosted this generous outreach in their new offices at 233 Addison Road to help their Windsor neighbors in need.
