Give the Gift of Life – Donate Blood!

We’re proud to partner with the American Red Cross for another blood drive! The need for blood is constant and only volunteer donors can fulfill that need for patients in our community. Nationwide, someone needs a unit of blood every 2 to 3 seconds and most of us will need blood in our lifetime

Last night we had the have the joy of recognizing Tracy Baden as the Windsor Junior Woman’s Club Rookie of the Year.

Tracy’s first year in the club has been nothing short of remarkable. She stepped into this organization with energy, generosity, and a willingness to help wherever she was needed. From the very start, Tracy became a familiar face at several events and supported fundraisers.

Last night we proudly recognized and honored Lisa McCarthy a truly extraordinary woman with our Woman of the Year Award.

Lisa never hesitates to step in and help. She is the person who notices when something needs to be done and helps get it done. She has attended most of our events, chaired or co-chaired a few or helped at the event itself. She checks in on others, lifts spirits with her cheerful attitude, and makes people feel seen, valued, and supported. Her generosity, positivity, and unwavering willingness to help have made a lasting impact on everyone around her. She reminds us that true leadership is found not only in big accomplishments, but in everyday acts of care, encouragement, and selflessness.

Each year the Connecticut Junior Women, Inc. chooses a CT Junior of the Year. We are so proud to say that our own Lisa McCarthy was a nominee this year. Lisa has been with our club for about 15 years and had many roles and chaired many committees and events. Lisa is always there to lend a helping hand, has a can do attitude and the most kind person you have ever met. She embodies the spirit of our club and we couldn’t imagine the club without her!

On behalf of the Windsor Junior Woman’s Club, thank you to everyone who supported our Fourth Annual Spring Fundraiser, Designer Purse Bingo, held on Friday, April 24, 2026.

Because of your generosity, the event was a tremendous success and will help us continue supporting local charities, families, and community programs throughout Windsor.

As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, 100% of our proceeds go directly back into the community through organizations and initiatives such as the Windsor Food and Fuel Bank, WIN-TV Summer Camp Scholarships, Windsor High School Scholarships, Project Santa, Windsor Public Schools, the Windsor Volunteer Fire Department, the Shad Ball, Fill the Firetruck with Santa, and local Red Cross Blood Drives.

We are incredibly grateful to our sponsors, volunteers, and everyone who attended and supported this special event. Your kindness and generosity truly make a difference, and we could not do this work without you.
