One week Panda update!
Location: Windermere, FL
Panda has made so much improvement since I picked him up from the shelter last week! It’s amazing to see what some TLC can do. What upsets me is that he shouldn’t have ever gotten so medically downhill if their owners paid attention to them and did right by them.
This poor baby had a protruding re**um, which was pretty huge, was in a lot of pain, was completely constipated, and didn’t have much of an appetite. If he would have had the proper care to begin with, this should never have happened.
At this time, he is still on an all wet food diet( no dry),I just cut his miralax dose down from 2x a day to 1x a day to see if it helps with the constant pooping ( that he’s unaware of), albon for coccidia, lysine and vitamin supplement. He is also getting antibiotic eye drops for a slight URI.
But the swelling of his re**um has gone down 90% to what it was, the pooping issue of not being able to hold it seems to be improving, he has a great appetite, and is playing like a kitten should. His eye discharge is being treated and his cut on his nose is healing!
With all his medical issues, he’s still the friendliest, sweetest and super duper cuddly kitten! He is an absolute love who is a purring machine, likes to be held like a baby, and who will need to go home to a family with another kitten or cat to play with!
Once I get him through his ordeal, some lucky family will be able to adopt him!
I’m hoping within the next few weeks he can find his forever home!
He is currently about 10 weeks old microchipped, and UTD on everything! He was neutered already by the shelter before I pulled him from there.
So keep an eye out for when he will be medically cleared to find a home of his own!
