Feeling lucky and full of smiles today ๐Ÿ€๐Ÿ’š

We had so much fun celebrating St. Patrickโ€™s Day with our amazing participants and staff! It took two photos to get everyone looking at the cameraโ€ฆ just not in the same one ๐Ÿ˜„

From festive hats to lots of laughter, itโ€™s days like this that remind us how special our ACC family truly is.

Lucky to do what we do. Lucky to share it with all of you. ๐Ÿ’š

๐ŸŽ‰ A Milestone Worth Celebrating! ๐ŸŽ‰

This week, the Adult Care Center of the Northern Shenandoah Valley reached an incredible milestone โ€” 600 individuals served since our founding. ๐Ÿ’™

For decades, ACC has been a place where adults with memory loss, physical challenges, developmental disabilities, and other care needs can spend their days safely engaged, supported, and surrounded by community and love. At the same time, their caregivers receive the peace of mind and respite they need.

Each of those 600 individuals represents a story, a family, and a life touched by compassion and care. From shared laughter during activities to meaningful connections built every day, this number reflects the impact of a community that believes no one should face aging or disability alone.

To our participants and families โ€” thank you for letting us be part of your journey. Your trust and support make this work possible. To our staff, volunteers and supporters we couldn't do what we do without YOU!

As we settle into our new home and look ahead, we are more committed than ever to continuing this mission and serving even more families across the Northern Shenandoah Valley.

๐Ÿ’ซ Hereโ€™s to the next 600!

๐Ÿ’œ Grateful doesnโ€™t even begin to cover it! ๐Ÿ’œ

A huge THANK YOU to Corey Boxwell from Boxwell Pharmacy for coming out to lend a hand today.

Corey jumped right in to help Dawn and her husband, Jimmy, making sure the sidewalks were cleared and safe as we prepare to open for business tomorrow at 9:30 at the Adult Care Center.

And a special shout-out to Jimmy, who worked hard clearing the sidewalks so our participants, families, and staff can arrive safely. This is what community looks like โ€” neighbors helping neighbors, no questions asked.

We are so thankful for people like you who show up and support us when it matters most. ๐Ÿ’œ

The Adult Care Center is the only organization in the Northern Shenandoah Valley exclusively dedicated & licensed to provide a day program for adults impacted by conditions affecting memory and independence.

The Adult Care Center is a non-profit organization that first offered part-time (one afternoon a week) adult care services in August 1993 at First Christian Church in Wi******er.

In February 1994, the Center moved to Braddock Street United Methodist Church in Wi******er and began full-time operation.

In March 2012, the Center relocated to the Snapp Foundry Building in the Our Health Complex at 411 N. Cameron St. in Wi******er.
