Our EDA was glad to participate alongside our partners at Wi******er Regional Airport - OKV in The Virginia Unmanned Systems Center at Virginia IPC annual stakeholder meeting and the Virginia Aviation Business Association Legislative Reception for Virginia's aerospace, aviation, and advanced air mobility (AAM) community.

A newly released economic impact study from the Virginia Department of Aviation reveals that the Wi******er Regional Airport has experienced historic growth in recent years. When compared to 2017 baseline figures, the airport has nearly tripled its total economic contribution to the Commonwealth.

Frederick County industry representatives got an up-close look at programming offered at the Dowell J. Howard Center earlier this week. The visit sparked great discussion around current and future skill needs, as well as opportunities for partnership.
