We have some updates!
Toby did not have a PU surgery yet. He spent several days at AMC and then transferred to a medical foster home. He will be closely monitored and the hope is to avoid the PU surgery for now due to his age and size. He returns in 2 weeks for a recheck and to be neutered. At that time they hope to get a closer look at the structure of the area.

Jessie continues to struggle now with neuro issues. She has a consult at the neurologist next Tuesday. Her legs are healing but she is still struggling with other issues. We have run a multitude of tests and several vets are consulting with each other.
Please send prayers for both of these sweet kitties! Our fosters are doing their best and we are extremely grateful for the team of doctors working together on both cases.

🐾 VOLUNTEERS NEEDED! 🐾

Help us care for our Dakota’s Dream kitties at the Wi******er PetSmart! 🐱🧡

Our cats need a little love and care while they wait for their forever homes—and we’re looking for some wonderful volunteers to join our PetSmart team! 🐾

We currently have volunteer openings on:

⏰ The commitment is only about 1–1½ hours per week.

Volunteers help with things like:
🐱 Giving the cats attention and affection
🧹 Cleaning kennels and litter boxes
🍽️ Refreshing food and water
🛏️ Tidying their spaces
💕 Making sure our kitties are happy, comfortable, and cared for

Just 1–1½ hours can mean so much to a cat waiting for a forever family! 🏠🐾

Good samaritans found this boy by the Shenandoah River. They had him for a little while and realized his urine had blood and today he was not able to p*e. The good samaritans cannot keep because the landlord does not allow pets. We were contacted and asked to take this five month old on. So the Valley Veterinary Emergency & Referral Center evaluated him and Dr. Martinez called to say they can unblock but he needs a PU surgery immediately because he structurally will not be able to go the bathroom properly. So he is out of surgery, unblocked ,and spending the night at the er. He is headed at 730AM to Animal Medical Center with Dr Cather to have the PU surgery. Many thanks to AMC and staff member Kyra Ratchford for making this happen. We are extremely grateful and exhausted. We have no idea total yet but he deserves a chamce. He could use all the prayers!! Welcome Toby!!
