Congratulations to CHR on their new mobile MAT Van! We know that transportation can be a huge barrier for individuals who want to seek treatment - this van is an incredible resource to remove that barrier. Again Congratulations!

What an amazing panel from today's webinar entitled "Philanthropy’s Role and Response to Changing DEI Policies" presented by The Alliance: The Voice of Community Nonprofits. At Access, we especially celebrate our board member, Nyaunu Stevens from the National Conference for Community and Justice, who moderated the panel. Great job everyone and thank you for your insights on this important and challenging topic!

Once again a special shout out to U-Haul Moving and Storage of Columbia for your help keeping our food pantries open!! We value your partnership and appreciate your support.

When it comes to supplying our food pantries, it's all hands on deck. it doesn't matter if you are working in finance, accounting, community engagement, or HR. Everyone at Access steps up to unload the truck and stock the shelves. Together we make a difference!!

Ever wonder what happens at a regional food bank? Yesterday I had the privilege of making the semi-monthly food run to Midwest Food Bank New England to pick up food for our pantries. Midwest's warehouse is a pretty massive structure in Manchester that distributes food to 176 food pantries all around the state. Yesterday, 42 other agencies/organization showed up and collected food and other household essentials.

So what happens there? You make an appointment, show up at your scheduled time, hand over your keys, sign in, and await your call. Once called, a volunteer host leads your around the warehouse filled with pallets of rescued food. They "take your orders" as you are followed by more volunteers with a wheeled truck. The volunteers load up your items, and then carry them all outside to load your vehicle. Once complete, they call you again and send you home to unload all the items at your pantry. Overall it was a 3 hour journey, most of which was spent on the road!

Thank you Midwest Food Bank New England for your essential partnership!
