🎆 FIREWORKS SAFETY ANNOUNCEMENT 🎆

As we celebrate the holiday season, the community is reminded to use fireworks safely and responsibly. Fireworks can be dangerous when not handled properly and may cause serious injuries, fires, and property damage.

If you plan to sell fireworks, you must meet all local and state guidelines and obtain the proper permits before sales begin. This requirement applies to all retail fireworks sales.

💲 Permit Fee: $200.00

Permits are required to help ensure public safety and compliance with fire prevention regulations.

⚠️ Important Safety Reminders:

Never allow children to handle fireworks
Keep a bucket of water or hose nearby
Only use fireworks outdoors in open areas
Never relight malfunctioning fireworks
Dispose of used fireworks properly after they cool
Be respectful of neighbors, pets, and veterans sensitive to loud noises

The office is available for all Code and Building Permit needs. Code Enforcement Officers and Building/Zoning Officials are also located at this office to assist the public.

Registration is open for the upcoming Firefighter 1 Certification Testing in Lycoming County!

June 25, 2026 | 6:30 PM – 10:30 PM
📍 Old Lycoming Township Fire Company

📅 Skills Test:
June 27, 2026 | 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
📍 CAFCA Grounds Test Site 22
1750 West Third Street, Williamsport, PA

💲 Course Cost: $275.00
⚠️ Payment must be paid in full on written test day.

✅ Prerequisites Required:
• Photo ID
• Hazardous Materials Operations Training
• Interior Structural Fire Attack Training
• CPR/First Aid
