The Marine Corps League-Williamsport Detachment #388 received it's charter on May 19, 1977. The Detachment meets the 3rd Thursday of every month. Meetings start at 1800 (6:00pm)

The Detachment has been instrumental in the handling of the Lycoming County Toys For Tots program since the early 1980's, thanks to the dedication of Marine Charles E. "Chuck" Smith, along with his wife Betty whom got the program started in their garage. In 2023 the Lycoming County Toys For Tots campaign with the help of The Salvation Army distributed 17, 717 toys, supporting 1,812 children. The Detachment works in correlation with the Susquehanna Council of The Boy Scouts of America, to present Good Citizenship Awards to Scouts who achieve the rank of Eagle Scout. The Detachment is involved in Color Guards & Honor Guards for parades, funerals and other ceremonies where we are requested. The Detachment is currently selling Veteran & Youth Program tickets, which can be purchased for $1. We are also selling Raffle tickets, they are 1 for $10 or 3 for $20.
