And we're off! Our Stepping for Scholarships fundraiser has officially begun. We'll be walking all weekend to raise money supporting future Infant Massage Trainers.

In this episode, we sat down with Jodi Whiteman to talk all things intentional interactions. Taking a moment to thoughtfully connect with the children in our lives doesn't take long, but it's easier to miss than you'd expect. We chatted about what real intentional interactions look like and the research surrounding how it impacts child brain development.

Jodi Whiteman is the Senior Director of Partnerships at LENA, where she helps early childhood programs and organizations use early talk technology and data to improve children’s futures. With over 25 years of experience across early care and education, early intervention, infant mental health, and child welfare, she has held leadership roles at Public Consulting Group and ZERO TO THREE. Her diverse background includes teaching, speech and language support, and early childhood program leadership. She is passionate about supporting young children, families, and the early childhood workforce, and is also a Certified Educator of Infant Massage.

Join us on congratulating the newest recipients of our SEED Scholarship: Ziakya Haggerty and Wahyu Astuti! These two future infant massage educators are ambitious, dedicated professionals with inspiring aspirations to impact the lives of families. 💜

The SEED Scholarship is an initiative to expand accessibility to infant massage education. Recipients receive a full, free Infant Massage Educator Training so they can bring nurturing touch to their communities. We specifically look for and select professionals with a demonstrated commitment to families in underserved populations: namely families of color, immigrant families, and low-income families.
