The River Royale is more than a fundraising event. It is an evening designed to bring the right people together at the right time to support the future of greater Williamsburg and the families who call our community home.

Join Grove Christian Outreach Center for an unforgettable evening featuring great food, a complimentary drink, professional casino games presented by Astro Entertainment, exciting prizes, and meaningful connections with community leaders and supporters.

These everyday essentials can make a big difference for families working hard to keep food on the table and provide for their little ones.

Please join us in welcoming Matthew, Grove Christian Outreach Center’s new Food Ministry Assistant!

Matthew is a husband, proud father, and retired United States Coast Guardsman who served for 22 years. He and his wife, Sarah, have been married for 21 years and have two children, Hannah and Kaleb.

During his Coast Guard career, Matthew served as a cook and learned firsthand how meaningful it can be to share a meal with someone following a crisis. As he says, he may not have been the hero at the scene, but he had the privilege of feeding people after a rescue.

That same heart for service now brings Matthew to Grove. Guided by his faith in Christ, he believes every person deserves to be met where they are, treated with dignity and compassion, and reminded that they are not alone.

Matthew looks forward to serving our Neighbors, listening to their stories, and sharing Christ’s love in practical and meaningful ways. We are grateful to welcome him to the Grove family!
