The Garden reopened its plant sale today with many new items including milkw**d and butterfly w**d. The sale runs through May 25th or until all plants are sold. We have a fair amount of plants including perennials, trees and shrubs for sale.

We prefer cash or checks to avoid processing fees. These may be left in the pink box on the right corner of the plant stand. Checks should be made payable to Williamsburg Botanical Garden. There is a QR code to use for credit or debit card payments.

These two plants are showing off in the garden with their spring blooms. The Dwarf Fothergilla shrub has a bottle-brush shaped bloom and may be found in the Fall & Winter Interest border. The Bleeding Heart plant has a delicate and distinctive bloom. It prefers a shady site and may be found in the Shade Garden.

There are some small patches of ice on some of the woodland paths that we expect to melt by tomorrow. So we have reopened the garden.

We were unable to visit the garden today to assess conditions. With the very low temperature overnight, we decided to keep the garden closed. We will have a volunteer assess it tomorrow morning and hope that the warmer temperatures of this afternoon have melted the ice. Sorry for the late status report.
