Our June Dinner at Fox Hill Country Club was a wonderful evening celebrating the incredible women of the Junior League. From the beautiful setting to the great food and even better company, we were grateful for the opportunity to come together, strengthen friendships, and continue our shared commitment to leadership and community service.
A special congratulations to our Provisional Class, who officially became Junior League members after successfully completing their provisional project. We are excited to welcome these dedicated women into the League and look forward to the impact they will make in our community for years to come.
We also had the privilege of recognizing three outstanding women whose dedication and service embody the mission of the Junior League:
⭐ Trailblazer Award – Melissa Obuch
Recognized for founding MamaBird, a nonprofit organization that provides essential hygiene items, including diapers, wipes, and feminine hygiene products, to families in need throughout our community.
⭐ Shining Star Award – Cheryl Perugino
Honored for her exceptional leadership of our Sustainers program, fostering meaningful connections and celebrating the legacy of those who continue to support the League’s mission.
⭐ President’s Award – Jesicca Skoloda
Recognized for her outstanding commitment to service, including helping raise more than $30,000 for KISS Theatre through Dancing Stars of Wilkes-Barre, while remaining a dedicated and supportive League member.
