Today, the NEPA Pride Project honors the life and legacy of Dolly Parton, an artist who taught the world that self-expression is powerful.

Through music, storytelling, fashion, humor, and an unmistakable voice, Dolly made room for people to be bold, creative, joyful, and fully themselves. She reminded us that art can heal, connect people, challenge expectations, and make even the hardest days feel a little brighter.

For so many in the artistic and LGBTQ+ community, Dolly represented the freedom to live out loud and love without apology. Her work showed us that there is beauty in being different, strength in authenticity, and magic in sharing your story with the world.

May we honor her by continuing to create, perform, write, sing, dream, and make space for every young person to discover their own voice.

Thank you, Dolly, for reminding us that expression is not something to hide. It is something to celebrate.

Rest in power, Dolly.
