Thank you to Padre José Luis Muro and Our Lady of Refuge Church in San Diego for hosting us this past weekend for a mission appeal!

Longtime COAR volunteer Daniel De Freitas visited and spoke with parishioners about our work sheltering, educating, and supporting resilient children in El Salvador. In addition to sharing COAR's mission, Daniel enjoyed the beautiful views San Diego has to offer and the generous hospitality of parishioners.

We are grateful to Bishop Michael Pham and everyone at the Diocese of San Diego for the invitation to participate in this year's Mission Cooperative Plan!

Thank you to Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe Santuario Diocesano for hosting us for a mission appeal this past weekend!

Development Manager Valeria Martinez visited and spoke with parishioners about our work empowering resilient children in El Salvador. Valeria enjoyed the tamales, atole and flan sold after mass. All of her presentations this time were in Spanish!

Both enjoyed the Salvadoran pupusas for sale between Masses and the blue skies and beautiful neighborhoods around the church!

It was a joy to present Fr. Steve with this award, honoring a beautiful legacy of partnership and service between COAR and the Mission Office.

The funds raised from so many generous supporters will help uplift children in El Salvador by providing for their material needs and their spiritual needs through our work in partnership with the Archdiocese of San Salvador.

Development Manager Valeria Martinez visited and spoke with parishioners about our work empowering resilient children in El Salvador by providing shelter, education, and individualized support. A highlight of the weekend was the standing-room-only Spanish mass at 11 am on Sunday.

A native Polish speaker, pastor Fr. Bart’s impressive multilingual skills are only surpassed by his kindness and generosity of spirit.
