field day is today!! meet at the football field if you are volunteering to help out :)

Wickliffe Lower School is holding Field Day this year! It will be held on Wednesday May 27.

The school is looking for parents to volunteer their time to help with the games.

grades 3-5 will have field day from 8:45-10:45 am.

Kindergarten-2nd grade will have field day from 11:30-1:30 pm.

6th grade is having their own event on a different day!

the PTO is also bringing Kona Ice Truck again for Field Day! 🎉

Good Evening Wickliffe! Commencement will take place at 7:00pm at the Football Stadium tomorrow, Tuesday May 26th.

A previous version of this post incorrectly identified the location for Commencement, and we wanted to get it corrected!
The Auditorium is the backup plan in case of bad weather.

Thank You to everyone who let us know. We look forward to seeing you all tomorrow!

we love partnering with the FRC for fundraisers

Well that's a wrap on the 2026 Cereal Challenge!
A HUGE thank you to all teachers, staff, grownups, and admin that made this event such a success! I hope we get to do it again!

Drumroll please....

We collected a total of 445 boxes of cereal from Lower School and another 50 from our community, bringing our total to 495 boxes of cereal!
Our goal was 400, so thank you, Thank You, THANK YOU for exceeding that!

This cereal will go to feed hungry families over the summer, as well as at our Back to School Bash in July.

Our second place winner, with nearly double our 3rd place class was Mr Sladky with 64 boxes collected!

Our awesome PTO donated enough pizza for our TWO winners. And the FRC brought in juice boxes, chips, and water. So two classes got rewarded with pizza parties.

🥣🍕 CEREAL BOX DOMINO CHALLENGE STARTS MONDAY! 🍕🥣
Hey Wickliffe Lower School families! Get ready to knock down hunger in our community! Cereal Box Domino Challenge kicks off this Monday, May 18th, and runs through Friday, May 22nd.

The classroom that collects the most unopened, non-expired boxes wins a CLASS PIZZA PARTY! 🍕🏆

📢 GROCERY DEAL ALERT: Our local Giant Eagle has a massive cereal sale running right now through Wednesday, May 20th! It is BUY 2, GET 3 FREE on select cereals (including Cheerios, Fruity Pebbles, Raisin Bran, and more).

That means you can buy 2 boxes for your own pantry and send 3 FREE BOXES straight to school on Monday to count toward that pizza party! 🤯🙌

Quick Checklist:

TODAY May 7th!

the PTO loves to celebrate teachers during Teacher Appreciation Week! for their morning, they can expect a fresh waffle bar from LaVera, with yogurt, granola, coffee & juice 🫶🏻

Teachers, you are so valued for all that you do. it’s not just standing at the front of a room & talking at kids. you are helpers, educators, therapists, friends, and so much more. it takes a truly special kind of person to be able to work with kids for 6 hours a day. thank you for all that you do & all that you GIVE every single day. we are a stronger community because of you guys 🫶🏻

how fun does this sound?! i wonder which class will bring in the most boxes 🤔 what’s your favorite type of cereal? my kid would go to war for some reese’s puffs, but she’ll be so excited to donate boxes to help feed families 🫶🏻

Who wants to cook dinner on a Monday? Not us!

This Monday, April 20th, pick up dinner for your family at LaVera in Willoughby Hills!

$60 gets you the following and will feed 4-6 people
- Tossed Garden Salad 🥗
- Chicken Parmesan 🐓
- Italian Meatballs in Sauce 🍅
- Homemade Cavatelli 🍝
- Garlic Bread 🥖

This is great for busy families, meal trains, and just those looking to support a local business and our cause at the same time! Place your order before Sunday at 10pm. And then pick up your order between 4 and 5:30pm. The best part is that you don't even need to get out of the car! Pull under the awning and they will deliver it to you directly. The Family Resource Center will receive $10 from every meal ordered.
