🌙🏊‍♂️ IT'S ALMOST TIME FOR THE WICKLIFFE WATER DEVILS ALL-NIGHT SWIM FUNDRAISER! 🏊‍♀️💙💛

Join us on Saturday, June 20 for one of our favorite tradition of the season! Swimmers will spend the evening swimming laps, hanging out with teammates, earning prizes, and making memories—all while raising money to support the Wickliffe Water Devils.

💙💛 WATER DEVILS WIN! 💛💙

What a way to kick off the season!

Congratulations to our Wickliffe Water Devils on an incredible victory at Saturday’s meet! This win was the result of hard work, determination, and team spirit from every swimmer on deck.

From our newest swimmers stepping up and giving it their all, to our seasoned veterans leading by example, the effort and dedication shown throughout the meet were truly inspiring. We also couldn’t have asked for a better welcome for our new coach, whose leadership and encouragement helped set the tone for a fantastic start to the season.

We are incredibly proud of this team, their commitment, and the positive energy they bring to the pool every day. This is just the beginning, and we can’t wait to see what the rest of the season has in store.

Tomorrow is our annual Mock Meet & Hot Dog Roast!

🏊 Warm-Ups Begin at 8:15 AM
The Mock Meet is one of the most important events of the season, especially for new families. It gives swimmers and parents a chance to experience a real meet environment before our first competition.

Following the Mock Meet, join us for our annual team hot dog roast!
We provide the hot dogs.

Please make sure your swimmers are declared for upcoming meets. You can declare for the entire season now and simply decline individual meets later if plans change.

Hello, Wickliffe Water Devils!

Please note that morning practice this Wednesday and Thursday will be at Jindra Park. The address is 901 TALMADGE AVE. Practice times remain the same, and evening practice this Wednesday and Thursday will stay at Coulby.

A few notes from me…
• Everyone must have a water bottle filled with water for practice every day.
• Please have your child pack tennis shoes for the next two weeks, in case dryland workouts are scheduled.
◦ This is a precaution to keep everyone prepared.
• Please have your child eat something before practice. This can be as quick as a protein bar or even a Banana. Everyone will be swimming lots of yards; they will need their energy.
• Please remember picture day is this Friday, and the mock meet is this Saturday at Coulby pool.
• We are always looking for volunteers, so please keep a lookout for spots needing to be filled at upcoming meets and events!

The season is officially underway, and we have a BIG first week ahead!

📢 IMPORTANT REMINDERS:
✅ Swimmers must attend at least 3 practices per week to be eligible to swim in Saturday meets.

✅ Declare your swimmers by TOMORROW!
Wednesday is Declare Day each week.
💡 Pro Tip: Declare your swimmer for the entire season now and simply decline individual meets if something comes up later.

New to swim team? The Mock Meet is the perfect opportunity to learn how meets work without the pressure of competition day. Meets move FAST, so don't be afraid to ask a coach, seasoned swimmer, board member, or fellow parent questions—we're all here to help!

We still need timers and a runner for the Meets. It takes 37 volunteers to run our meets successfully, and many jobs are simple and can even be done with little helpers by your side.

We had our first practice this morning, and if today was any indication, it's going to be an incredible summer. The excitement, energy, and team spirit were already on full display!

Any parents that want to help out and become an official for this summer season, it’s not too late.
There will be another officials training tomorrow, 5/30 at 1pm at the Wickliffe Public Library!
Great way to get your volunteer requirements met while watching the meet from an unobstructed view. NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY (we will train)!
