Upper Valley Habitat for Humanity's mission is to to build safe, affordable homes for those who could not otherwise afford to purchase a home.

Our mission is to build affordable, durable, safe, healthy, economical, and energy-efficient homes; strengthen and enrich communities; and increase long-term hope, prosperity, health, and the lives of families and individuals in the Upper Valley of Vermont and New Hampshire through the stability of affordable homeownership. We create sustainable communities by promoting high-quality building and housing standards; leading and acting with compassion; supporting hands-on learning; and building and channeling the power of volunteers, supporters, and partner families to bring about positive change in the Upper Valley.

🏡 Exciting news! UV Habitat is proud to announce a new partnership with Kingdom United Resilience & Recovery (kuRRve)!

We've been looking for meaningful ways to put the remaining funds from our former Northeast Kingdom Chapter to work, and we've found the perfect fit. These funds will support kuRRve's volunteer-powered new build in Danville, VT, creating a new home for a flood survivor who meets Habitat's criteria.

Our two organizations share a powerful mission: neighbors helping neighbors work on safe, stable homes. We couldn't be more excited to work together! 💙

Last week we had our Key Ceremony to celebrate handing the keys over to our partner family on Nutt Ln! We are so grateful to all the incredible supporters who came out to congratulate the homeowner and see the finished home. This project was possible thanks to all of you! Donors, volunteers, contractors, town officials, and partner organizations. We did it! Official closing in the works, we can't wait to see the family move into their new home!

We are so excited to announce that thanks to a generous grant from Mascoma Bank our Nutt Lane home will have solar power! We are so grateful to the Mascoma Foundation for this grant, Norwich Solar for donating the panels, and Integrity Energy for donating their labor for the installation. With all of these collaborations, the grant will cover the remaining costs if the system! Our partner family will reap the benefits of lower and predictable energy bills for years to come. 🔆🌱
