Allll Aboaaaaarrd....(Volunteers!)...for The Polar Express 2025

We simply cannot do this without the
many community volunteers who help along the way. Many volunteers come year-after-year and sign up together
with their friends, spouse, or neighbors.

If you have volunteered in the past or have heard from friends how much fun it is to do so, we'd welcome you
"Aboard" any one (or many) of our rides. Become a Chef who offers hot chocolate complete with a sugar cookie
and a song to each guest on the train. If you'd rather, help out as a "Jolly Person" who greets our guests at the train station and
waves to the children as they depart for the North Pole.

Our biggest needs are for conductors and chefs for the train rides on the 13th and 14th of December. We've attached the sign-up links below. There's no experience necessary and we will have a volunteer training session at the WRJ station at 5:30pm on Thursday December 11th.

"All Aboard!" The 2025 White River Rotary POLAR EXPRESS is scheduled for December 13th and 14th, 2025.

Tickets will go on sale November 2 @ 12:00 noon. Please go to our website (see below) to purchase tickets and learn more! Questions? Please reach out to: [email protected]

Our trips are run entirely by volunteers: Rotarians, family, friends, neighbors and community members. We so appreciate your support of this #1 Fundraiser for our club where 100% of the profits are given back to the community in the form of scholarships and grants. If you'd like to volunteer to be part of this excitement, you may learn more by going to this website and following the "become a volunteer" tab at the top.

If you are interested in becoming a member of the White River Rotary Club, where our motto is "Service Above Self", please send an email to: [email protected]. Our club recently celebrated our 100th year of service to our community....won't you join us and be part of the merriment and share in our service to others?

See you on the Train!

Calling All Volunteers!! "All Aboard"!! Please join us!!

The White River Rotary is proudly sponsoring our 14th (?) annual Polar Express Train Ride
on December 14th and December 15th. We'll have 13 rides altogether (seven on Saturday and six on Sunday) that
leave from the Amtrak station in WRJ and depart for the North Pole in Norwich, VT.

As you may know, the Rotary is a civic organization whose motto is "Service Above Self". As we work
to create an incredible trip to the North Pole as our largest fundraiser, we simply cannot do this without the
many community volunteers who help along the way.

Lastly, if you'd like to entertain at The North Pole, you
may volunteer as an Elf where you will bring smiles to all who watch your antics out the window of their train car.

Please visit this website: https://hartfordvtpolarexpress.com/index.php/become-a-volunteer/. It is here you will find
specific links at the bottom for each role, their descriptions, and the available shifts. Bring a friend and
a smile and be a part of the memories families will talk about for years to come!
Thank you for your consideration!

To quote one of my good friends on The Polar Express:
""One thing about trains... it doesn't matter where they're going. What matters is deciding to get on"
